New Scholarship

MAINE STATE NURSES ASSOCIATION

Eligible -Maine residents who will be attending an accredited nursing program in Maine.

                        These scholarships will be awarded in the following areas:

                                    Northern Maine, Southern Maine, & Eastern Maine

Amount            -(3) $1,000.00

HUMANE SOCIETY OF THE U.S. SHAW-WORTH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible             -New England high school senior that has made a meaningful contribution to animal protection over a significant period of time.

Amount            -$2,000.00

Deadline           -March

 

College Visit

Maine Maritime Academy has rescheduled their appointment from November 24 to December 4, 2008 at 2:00.

Beal College waive application fee

Admissions Office will waive application fees for any senior who wishes to apply to Beal College during Thanksgiving break week.

Those who wish to apply may arrange an appointment in advance or stop by during the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm on 11/24, 11/25, and 11/26. Campus tours will also be available during these times. Students may contact the Admissions Office by phone at 947-4591 or e-mail at admissions@bealcollege.edu.

Reminder to all seniors, if you are planning on going to Florida or New York
for the senior class trip please remember to bring in your $100 dollar
deposit to Mr. Peterson by Friday November 14th or see him for different
arrangements.

JROTC Veteran's Day Events - 11 Nov 2008

ATTENTION ALL CADETS!  Veteran’s Day Events! November 11th 2008.  Cadets who signed up for the Veteran’s Day parade in Bangor must report to the JROTC Supply Room no later than 8:00 am tomorrow November 11th.  The bus will depart at 9:00 sharp.  Those cadets who signed up for the Veteran’s Day observance at Sam’s Club in Bangor should report directly there no later than 8:30 am.  Uniform is Class A for both event. Make sure your permission slip is turned in!

 

Results of Drill Competition at Spaulding High School - 8 Nov 2008

The Old Town High School had a very successful Drill and Color guard competition at Spaulding High School in Vermont.  The results are as follows:  1st Place Armed Squad Trophy, 1st Place Color Guard Trophy, 2nd Place Platoon Armed Trophy, 2nd Place Platoon Unarmed and 3rd Place Squad Unarmed.  We also had 2nd Place Individual Drill – Armed (K. Larby), 2nd Place Individual Drill – Unarmed (K. Larby) and 3rd Place Individual Drill – Unarmed (J. Libby).  There were 9 School in attendance and 113 cadets participating.  POC is C/LTC B. Winchenbach, Cadet Battalion Commander.
