New Scholarships

New Scholarships:

 

The Department of Art at the University of Maine is again pleased to announce The Visual Arts Awards in the form of $1,000 or $2,000. Renewable for 8 semesters and must be utilized within a 5-year period. Applicants must be accepted to UMaine’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and choose to major in Art (Studio, Art Education, Art History) to receive a scholarship.  Applications are in guidance.

 

 

The University of Maine Pulp & Paper Foundation intends to grant up to 30 merit based scholarships to first year students entering the University of Maine to study engineering in the fall 2009. Scholarship recipients will have both an excellent academic performance in high school and an interest in considering a paper industry related technical career. Applications are in guidance.

Engineering Career Exploration Seminar

Engineering Career Exploration Seminar:

 

On Thursday, December 11, the University of Maine Plup and Paper Foundation will sponsor a student involving, ENGINEERING CAREER EXPLORATION SEMINAR for 50 students from LINCOLN area schools. The seminar will help students explore their personal career interests and introduce them to engineers who are successful in their careers. If you are a Junior or Senior interested you may pick up paperwork in The Guidance Office.
