College Acceptances

Congratulations to the following students for their acceptances:

 

Kristen Quill for Mount Olive College with awards totaling $4, 500.

Gabriella do Amaral for Hampshire College.

Erin St.Peter for Colby College. She has been selected to be a Presidential Scholar which includes a $10,000. Scholarship.

Charlotte Kenneway  for University of Southern Maine.

Women's Symposium

The Women’s Symposium at the University of Maine, a group dedicated to annual community education and female advocacy. Each year the symposium invites students and the community to a one-day women’s event focused around overcoming obstacles women are facing personally and professionally. This year the theme is “Women: We Are Not Alone” the speakers will be focusing on how positive interactions between women and networking can help women to achieve their goals.  The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Please announce

Honors Diploma program students, and students taking online courses, listen
up! Mr. Doty is going to start holding office hours every week, to answer
your questions. The times you can find him are posted outside the guidance
office. Seniors in the Honors Diploma program, if you did not see Mr. Doty
at the most recent mentor meeting, make it a point to get to his office
hours next week. Some of you very much need to check in, and the
responsibility to EARN the Honors Diploma is yours!

Need to consult with Mr. Doty about your Honors Diploma progress, Service
Projects, your Senior Exhibition Project, online courses, etc.? You can find
him in the "Independent Computer Lab" (across from the library) at these
times:
*Monday, April 6th before school
*Wednesday, April 15th (ATS and immediately after school)
*Tuesday, April 28th before school
*Thursday, May 7th (ATS)
*Tuesday, May 12th before school
*Wednesday, May 20th (ATS and immediately after school)
*Tuesday, June 2nd before school

Summer Program

Summer ECO-Camp June 29 – July 2 at The University of Maine Fort Kent

 

Eligibility:

High School students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year.

 

The Camp is designed for students interested in exploring the beautiful natural environment of the North Maine Woods by canoe and trail while learning about ecology, water quality, and wildlife.
