New Scholarships

ELKS NATIONAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

They offer two scholarships one for Elk Families and one for most valuable student scholarship.

UNITED STATES SENATE YOUTH PROGRAM $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP

 

Must be a permanent resident of the United States

Junior or Senior who has been elected to one of the following posts for the 2009 – 2010 school year:

Member or officer of the student council, student senate or equivalent student government organization, class officer- president, vice president, secretary or treasurer. If interested get more information in the guidance office.

 

FIRE – Foundation for Individual Rights in Education

 

The Foundation is pleased to announce its second annual “Freedom in Academia” student essay contest. High School seniors from across the U.S. are invited to write an in-depth essay explaining why free speech and First Amendment rights are crucial to higher education and how abuses of these rights harm the college experience.

Essays should be 700 – 1,200 words.

First Place: One student will receive a $5,000 college scholarship. Second Place: Two students will each receive a $2,500 college scholarship and Runners-Up: Five students will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship.

Italy Trip

If you are interested in finding out more information about traveling to
Italy over April Vacation, please report down to Ms. Betterley during ATS on
Friday Sept. 18th. A parent meeting for ALL interested will be held in the
