MILITARY ORDER OF THE COOTIES SKIN ISLAND PUP TENT 21 NURSING SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible             Graduating High School senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year school in Nursing

Amount            (1) $1000 or split (2) $500

Deadline           April 2, 2010

 

PENOBSCOT RETIRED TEACHERS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible             Graduating High School senior planning to pursue a career in education

Amount            $1000.00

Deadline           April 7, 2010

 

Project Graduation Parent Meeting

There will be a Project Graduation Parent Meeting on February 1, 2010 in the cafeteria at Old Town High School at 6:00 p.m.  This meeting will provide an explanation of Project Graduation but more importantly we are asking for parental assistance in making this a memorable celebration.

Academic Breakfast

This Friday we will be holding the Academic Awards Breakfast in the
cafetorium during period 1. Students who have received an invitation will go
straight to the breakfast. Attendance will be taken and sent to teachers.

Students who usually purchase breakfast in the café before school may still
do so.

Study hall students period 1 will report to the Gym.

Senior Parent Ads for Yearbook

The yearbook staff extended the deadline for Senior Parent Ads through
January 5, 2010. However, we will accept ads through this week. Contact
Kari White (kari.white@rsu34.org) with questions.

Brown Bag Lunch Series

Attention Juniors and Seniors

Monday January 11th will be the first in a series of Brown Bag Lunches.
This first lunch will feature a discussion with University of Maine, College
of Education Associate Dean OJ Logue. This will be a chance for students
who are interested in majoring in education to come and find out some
details about what is needed to have a career in education. Lunch will be
provided. Please sign up in guidance if you are interested.

The lunch and discussion will take place most of period 3 (White day).
Permission slips will be required.
