This week some classes in grade 7 were talking about what qualities make our school a more safe and welcoming place. It seemed to circle back to a Veteran's Day project from earlier this year around gratitude. This past Veteran's Day team 7 spent several days listening to the stories of veterans from around the country that were submitted by friends and families of seventh graders. Students heard stories of resilience, bravery, and dedication to our country. Advisory groups then discussed how to show gratitude towards the veterans that have served our country, as well the importance of showing gratitude in our every day lives. Colby Drost (pictured), along with several other students, collaborated with our Art teacher, Lynn Nickerson, to design and create our Tree of Gratitude. Each student in the grade was given the opportunity to write their personal messages of gratitude.
