ED TECH I's & III's 

RSU #34 seeks talented Educational Technicians that are positive, flexible and willing to learn within a variety of educational settings. Preference will be given to those with prior experience or training. Accepting applications for Ed Tech I’s and III’s. 


Qualified candidates would have applicable Maine Department of Education Ed Tech Certification and CHRC (fingerprint and background check).

Start Date: As soon as suitable candidates are hired.

ALTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Pre-K Teacher

RSU #34 seeks a motivated, student-focused, innovative and passionate teacher for the pre-kindergarten class at the Alton Elementary School. The candidate will have high expectations for all learners and utilize best pedagogical practices. Additional characteristics of the successful applicant include content expertise, differentiated instruction to meet a range of student needs, effective classroom management skills, a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

RSU #34 and the Viola Rand School in Bradley seeks a talented Ed Tech I that is positive, flexible and willing to learn within a variety of educational settings. Primary responsibility will be providing support in a first grade class. This will be a one year position. Preference will be given to those with prior experience or training at the elementary level.

Qualified candidates would have applicable Maine Department of Education Ed Tech Certification and CHRC (fingerprint and background check).

Start Date: August 31, 2020

Interventionist Ed Tech

Interventionist Ed Tech

Leonard Middle School in Old Town, part of RSU#34, seeks a certified or immediately certifiable Educational Technician III to serve as grade-level interventionist to support student learning. The successful candidate will build supportive learning relationships with middle school children in small groups, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and administration to optimize student learning and engagement. The interventionist will support student learning in conjunction with instruction by core teachers in the classroom. The interventionist will largely support student learning in school, with some remote support.

The position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

Temporary School Clerk

Leonard Middle School, part of RSU #34 in Old Town, Maine, is seeking a temporary school clerk to begin immediately. The position is a school year position, plus 5 days before and after the school year. The clerk greets students, staff, parents, and the public in person and on the phone and also assists with students and clerical duties for the school counselor and school nurse. At this time, the clerk may also be asked to help with daily health screening. The successful candidate will be welcoming and energetic, skilled with technology (including but not limited to Google docs, Infinite Campus, and calendars), organized and detail-oriented with records and record-keeping, and willing to help with any office tasks that arise. The candidate’s health status must allow them to interact safely with all students, staff, and community members.

Softball Coach

Old Town High School is seeking a Varsity Softball Coach for the coming season. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible schedule, great communication skills, knowledge of the game, knowledge of MPA rules and guidelines, and the willingness to build on a very successful baseball program. The successful candidate must be or willing to be CHRC Certified and be willing to obtain CPR/AED certification. Other pieces of training may be required for MPA coaching certification. Applications are accepted until a suitable candidate is found.
