Lady Coyotes take on the Ellsworth Eagles at home. First up on the day was JV with a 1-1 tie after 60 minutes of play. Ava B. with goal for the coyotes and Keely K. contributed in net. Varsity next against a very aggressive Ellsworth team, ending in a 2-2 tie after double overtime. Karina D. & Rhiannon B. with a goal a piece, Olivia L. with both assists. Danica B. contributed in net with 14 saves on 16 shots.

LMS Field Hockey traveled to Hermon this afternoon to battle the Hawks and came away with a 2-0 victory! The developmental team came away with a 1-1 tie. Great job ladies!

OTHS FH traveling down the road to the Turf of the Hawks - Varsity started the night off with a 3-2 W fueled by Lindsey Mockler's two goals and a single goal from Karma Ruggari assisted by Taylor Loring - JV ended the winning night with a 2-0 W - Both goals by Ruby Shaw with Molly Albert's 1 assist.

Tough one tonight as the Coyotes ran into a talented Eagles team - JV fell 5-1 to Ellsworth and Varsity lost 4-0.... Great effort by Keeper Ian Bryant between the post, stopped a tremendous amount of shots to keep the game low scoring...

Todays LMS home soccer games vs. Hermon have been postponed due to lack of officials. The game has been moved to next Wednesday 10/11.
Boys soccer will practice from 3:30-5.

JV Football playing some Monday Night Football 🏈 at H.A. - JV team is clicking and playing strong as they move to 3-1 on the season with a 16-12 W against the Broncos- great game gentlemen....

Athletics - Week of Oct. 2nd

The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams turned in some strong performances today at the 22nd Annual Festival of Champions Meet in Belfast, with nearly 100 schools from all over New England, Nova Scotia and Maine. The girls' team finished 35th overall in the huge field and were 3rd among Class B Northern Maine schools, as every member of the girls' team ran a 5K personal best time with Lida Kanoti leading the way with a 22:07, followed by Lily Heitmann at 22:22, Lexi Wesley at 23:54, Chloe Henry at 24:33 and Liz Preble at 26:26. The two members of the boys' team running today also turned in personal best 5K times, with Hayna Francis running 18:54 and Griffin Henderson running 23:23. The teams travel to the county next Saturday for Houlton Invitational.

⚽️ A few games played at Victory Field Today 🥅 - first to play was the Boys JV team hosting Hermon and walking away with a well played 1-0 W - Varsity playing after and coming away with a much needed 6-2 W for the boys - Closing out the night was the Varsity Girls team and until about 25 min left the Coyotes had a commanding 2-0 lead, but ended up with a 2-2 double overtime tie

OTHS Field Hockey 🏑 welcomed the Witches to Victory Fields for a Friday Night matchup - Yotes played a tough Brewer team and former Yote Coach Emerson pulled off a 2-0 Win handing the Coyotes the loss... Coyotes to Hermon next!

LMS Cross Country competed in their 3rd meet of the season this afternoon. Luckily they didn't have to go far as the team hosted their first meet in recent memory. Top 10 finishers were Izzy H 5th, Natalie U 10th, Alex G 4th and Alex R 6th. Great job everyone! Shout to Coach White and the rest of the high school XC team for your support today!

OTHS Soccer on the Island tonight to play the Trojans of MDI - JV playing first but falling 4-1 with Varsity playing a tough game till the final minute of the second overtime - losing 1-0.... Hermon on Saturday at Victory Field....

LMS Football battled a tough Oceanside team at Victory Field this afternoon. The team started slow but finished strong , but unfortunately it wasn't enough to pull off the win. Oceanside 39 LMS 7.

LMS Field Hockey traveled to Bangor today to take on Cohen/Doughty. A team girls won 3-0 followed by 4-1 win by the B team. Great Job girls!

OTHS Field Hockey 🏑 making it exciting and going to double overtime again this season @ JB - Ladies pulled off a 1-0 win with a goal from Taylor L. to Natalie B. to Lindsey M. for the goal! OTHS Golf ⛳️ playing the gem of the North JaTo GC for the PVC Championship and State Qualifier - although the team did not qualify, OT did represent and walk away with some awesome hardware - Charlotte Blanchard (90) and Nate Baker (74) both awarded PVC Champion and Low Medalist awards - Both will go on to represent OTHS at the States next weekend!

LMS soccer teams were in action this afternoon taking on Ellsworth at home. The girls team played well in the second half but ended up with a 4-2 loss. The boys had a scoring battle with the Eagles, but in the end, it was a hat trick by Cullen L and Jack D that lifted the Coyotes to victory 6-5! Soccer plays home again next Tuesday 10/3 vs Hermon.

Completing the JV Sports day was the JV Football 🏈 team with a home game v. JB at Victory Field - High flying aggressive offense coupled with a few key defensive scores got the Coyotes a 42 - 33 W over the Crusaders of JB.... H.A. On the road next for the Yotes!
