Baseball ⚾️ action at Victory Fields as Yotes played host to Foxcroft Academy - Duty strong on the mound and backed by solid defense and offense from the team lead the Coyotes to the 5th win of the season, moving to 5-2 on the season and around 5th in heals
JV Softball 🥎 hosted the Hawks as well and made the game interesting with relentless hits and competitive defense, came up short though 15-6L

It is that time of year again to share the information and flyer for our summer skills sessions!! I have moved the skills sessions to Tuesday mornings in hopes to get more athletes involved!
We will have 2 sessions - 8-930am for K-5 and 930am-1130am for 6-12! Come join us as we learn and improve on our field hockey skills! First session starts Tuesday June 23rd!

LMS Track and Field competed in their second meet of the season yesterday afternoon at Orono HS. Top 5 finishers included:
Faelynn Briggs- 1st 55m Hurdles, 1st High Jump and 1st Long Jump, Stephen Cormier- 2nd 800m and 3rd 1600m, Alex Gelo- 1st 400m, 2nd 100m and 2nd 200m, Caleb Heitmann- 1st 200m and 3rd 100m, Keagan Benson- 5th 400m and 5th 200m, Prince Guatlo- 5th 50m, 2nd 4x100m Relay team made up of Gelo, Heitmann, Benson and Karter Hashey. The team will have a quick turn around as they head to Hermon on Monday.

OTHS Tennis 🎾 serving it up on the OT Community Courts today playing host to John Bapst..... Girls volleyed to a 5-0L and moved to 0-6 on the season, while the Boys backhanded their way to a 3-2W and moved to 3-3 on the season. Quick turnaround for the Yotes as they host Hermon tomorrow!

OTHS Softball 🥎 played the Ponies today at Victory Field Complex - 10-0W lead by solid defense and strong offense from the Yotes! Coyotes move to 5-2 on the season and holding the 3/4 spot in heal points at the moment. JV on the field tomorrow!

LMS Baseball and Softball teams battled the elements in Ellsworth yesterday afternoon. Softball finishing the night with a hard fought 10-9 loss. Baseball didn't quite finish their game but was able to salvage a 4-4 tie. Teams are back home on Monday vs. Troy Howard.

OTHS will host a night to showcase the class of 2026's commitment to signing to post-secondary athletics at the college/university level. We are looking to showcase this event on Tuesday, May 12th, at 7 PM in Mackenzie Gym. This will be a simple but impactful ceremony to congratulate those who are going on to the next level of sports.

Congratulations to Cooper Neely and Sophia Morgan for qualifying for the state singles tournament next Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They will have to win two matches on Thursday to make it to Friday and beyond. Proud of the effort that Myah B, Kara L, Sophie F, Cullen L, Isaac A, and Lucas M. put out in the attempt to qualify for the Coyotes!

LMS Baseball and Softball teams were back in action at home vs MDI. Softball ended the night with a 21-1 loss. Baseball battled back from being down 8-0 to end with a 9-9 tie! Next up, Ellsworth on Wednesday.

The OTHS Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams turned in strong performances Saturday in their nine team meet at home, on a cool and rainy day, with each team finishing in 1st place. For the girls, who had 21 girls scoring points, with E. Briggs 1st in High Jump and 300 Hurdles and 3rd in Long Jump, O. Lizzotte 1st in Javelin, 2nd in the 200 and 3rd in the 100, O. Ketch 1st in both Shot Put and Discus, Hill 1st in the 100 Hurdles, 3rd in the 300 Hurdles and 5th in the 200, E. Ketch 2nd in Shot Put and tied 2nd in High Jump, L. Vellieux 1st in Long Jump, Preble 1st in the 3200, Loring 2nd in the 800, Hallett 2nd in the 1600 and 5th in the 800, Albu 2nd in the 400, L. Heitmann 1st in the 1600 Racewalk, Yerxa 2nd in Discus, Henry 2nd in the 3200, L. Saucier 4th in the 200, A. Harvey 3rd in Triple Jump, L. Heitmann 4th in the 1600 and 6th in Javelin, R. Cote 4th in Long Jump and 6th in Triple Jump, E. Jones 3rd in Discus, M. Choiniere 5th in Javelin and 5th in the 800, H. Stoup 4th in Triple Jump and 5th in Long Jump, S. Barrera 4th in Shot Put and 6th in Javelin, DJ Davis 5th in the 100 and 6th in the 200, A. King 5th in the 200 and 6th in the 100 and D. Godfrey 5th in High Jump. The boys also received 2nd place relay finishes from the 4x100 team of Davis, King, Betters & Day, the 4x400 team of Yanush, M. Cote, Mackinnon Speed & Ramos and the 4x800 team of Choiniere, M. Speed, Owen Dunn & Ramos. The teams travel to Hermon next Saturday.

Old Town on the road to take on the Crusaders - Softball 🥎 saw the field first with Sirois on the mound sitting down 13 batters and hits from Trimm, Carroll, Sapiel, Albert, and Madden earned the Coyotes a 6-3W - Baseball ⚾️ took the diamond next and in true form took time to get going but Bean and McCannell combined for solid pitching, with Priest, Duty, Closson, Brawn, Campagna, and Depew all helping with offense.... Coyotes walk away with 13-6W....

Mother Nature 🌬️ race was on yesterday as well hoped to beat the rain that never came! Coyotes rolled the dice 🎲 and welcomed the MDI Trojans to Victory field for some 🥎/ ⚾️ action! Softball came to play and rebound off the tight game the day before with a 11-1 W moving to 3-1 on the season. Baseball started sluggish but made a game of it as they suffered the first loss of the season 7-5 L and move to 3-1 as well..... Crusaders up next on Saturday for the Coyotes.

🎾 Tennis 🎾 action at Orono HS as we jumped on the long bus ride to the home of the Red Riots. Full run of matches played with the girls team finishing 4-1L and the Boys team keeping it close with a 3-2L. Girls move to 0-5 on the season and the boys are 2-3 on the season.
