The Witches and Coyotes clashed in Mackenzie this afternoon for another Unified Home matchup! Coyotes continued its win streak with a 64-55 W over the Witches.... Coyotes host a play day tomorrow with our friends to the North, PI, Caribou, and HA converge into Mackenzie gym tomorrow!

Events for March 4th Week

Congratulations to OTHS Indoor Track team members, senior Elyannah Briggs and junior Carter Osnoe who competed Saturday at the New England Track & Field Championships in Boston. Elyannah finished 7th in the High Jump with an individual NE meet personal best jump of 5'-5", while Carter finished 17th in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 49'-0.50" in his first time competing at NE's. Great job Ely and Carter!

OTHS Unified BBall traveled across the river and down the road to Orono today for a rematch of the home opener! This time the Coyotes got the best of the Red Riots and celebrate the first WIN of the season 91-89! Witches come to Mackenzie next week!

OTO season came to an end today down at Colby College playing #1 Messo in the quarterfinal game. Messo pulled out early with a 3-0 lead, ended 9-1. Great learning season for this young team, many lessons to be taken away for the future seasons to come!

Unified traveled north to MA today for the second game of the season. Coyotes battled it out and had some fun on the court at the Lynx!

We would also like to recognize two boys who were left out of the recap of yesterday's State Track Meet, Noah Briggs who finished 3rd and Parker Day who finished 4th in the Triple Jump.

The OTHS Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams closed out the season on Monday at the Class B Indoor Track State Meet at Bates College, with the girls finishing tied for 4th and the boys finishing 5th in the meet with over 30 schools competing. The girls were led individually by Elyannah Briggs who finished 1st in the HighJump, remaining undefeated in that event this season, with a jump of 5'-6.25", which increases her school record and also sets a new Class B State Meet record and she also finished 6th in the Long Jump. Lucy Vellieux finished 2nd in the Triple Jump and 3rd in the Long Jump, while other individual point scorers were Olivia Lizzotte 7th in the 55M Dash with a personal best time of 7.60 and Addison Hill 7th in the 55M Hurdles with a personal best time of 9.60, and the 4x200M Relay team of Lizzotte, Olivia Barthelemy, Lindsay Mockler & Hill finished 6th and the 4x800M Relay team of Barthelemy, Phoebe Yerxa, Chloe Henry & Meredith Cyr finished 7th. For the boys individually, Carter Osnoe led the way with a 2nd place finish in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 48'-8.50", while Noah Briggs finished 4th in both the High Jump and Long Jump, Cullen Lothian was 8th in the Long Jump and the 4x200M Relay team of Aidan Sucy, Cooper Neely, Lothian & CJ Yanush also finished 8th. The coaches would like to congratulate and thank both teams on a very successful season. The teams do have four individuals who have qualified to compete at New England's in Boston at the end of the month, and they are Elyannah Briggs [High Jump), Lucy Vellieux (Long Jump), Carter Osnoe (Shot Put) and Noah Briggs (provisionally in High Jump).

Last regular season game tonight for the OTO Black Bears 🐻 as they hosted #1 Messo - 11-1 L - Highlight of the Night was the working PA and the ability to announce the 2025 Hobey Baker Award recipient - None other than the captain, #2 Noah Schneider - well deserved award!

NPV 🏊 Swim 🏊‍♂️ in the pool down state for the KVAC Championships at Bath YMCA - First time competition for the RiverHawks and they did not disappoint - Girls swam to a 3rd place finish, while the boys swam to a 5th place finish in a very competitive swim meet....

A season ending is never easy, but we made it and we did it with pride! OT Girls Basketball 🏀 fell to Ellsworth in the first round at the Cross - Great season, thank you to our senior group of girls!

Another great accomplishment from Olivia Barthelemy as she was awarded the Ann Norton Sportsmanship Award for the Girls Large School PVC. This is awarded to an individual who portrayed outstanding sportsmanship for the indoor track season in the PVC! Well Deserved!

Events for the Feb. 9th Week

Last Night the OTO Black Bears 🐻 hard worked paid off and they came away with a 2-1 W over Portland Co-Op - They just had to stick to the game plan and let Portland decide what game we had! 🤔 Focusing on the positive, we got to celebrate our 1 senior in the program and give him a Black Bear send off and thank you! Noah Schneider, The Captain, best of luck in the future, Always a Black Bear 🐻!
