LMS Athletics weekly calendar.

The OTHS Cross Country teams hosted the 76th Sectional XC Invitational today at the Victory Field Athletic Complex, with 15 schools competing. The girls team finished up 6th place, led by Elizabeth Preble in 15th with a time of 22: 50.64, followed by Lily Heitmann in 24th, Linzy Heitmann in 35th, Izzy Howard in 40th and Harper Oakes in 45th. For the boys, Owen Dunn finished 33rd with a time of 21:06.22. We also recognized our four seniors, Lily Heitmann, Elizabeth Preble, Owen Dunn and Koston Hurley and we want to thank them for their dedication and commitment to OTHS XC, and a special thank you goes out to Lily and Elizabeth for four amazing seasons. Next up is the Festival of Champions Meet in Belfast next Saturday.

LMS soccer teams were back at home tonight taking on the Lions from Belfast. The girls played tough, leading for most of the game 1-0, but a couple late goals by the Lions sealed the deal, ending with a 2-1 loss. The boys came out firing but slowed down in the second half, losing 4-0. Teams travel to Ellsworth on Tuesday.

LMS Cross Country competed in their second meet of the season yesterday at Mattanawcook Academy. Girls team finished 4th, while the boys finished 3rd. Individual places were as follows. Heidi Carlson 6th, Libby Lebsack 27th, Vivian Lundstrom 30th, Chloe Lane 32nd, Ameila Bonawitz 33rd, Limel Emery 41st, Jayda Jackson 42nd, Marley-Marie Merchant 44th. Connor Wilson 10th, Danny Pelletier 11th, RJ Meigs-McDonald 18th, Ben Lundstrom 20th, Lucas Doty 23rd, Ezra Craig 29th, Aaron Bonawitz 30th, William Chabot 36th, Alden Kanoti 39th, Melvin Doucette 41st. Great job team!

Final scores today- Field Hockey over Hampden 7-1 and Football with a tough battle, losing to OOB 22-12. We were happy to kick off River Fest with our football players and cheerleaders being accompanied by area youth cheerleaders and football players with us tonight.

LMS field hockey was back at home today after a long trip down to Belfast yesterday. The team faced a strong Bangor squad with the final score ending in 5-3 defeat. Next up is Nokomis on Tuesday.

LMS football moves to 4-0 on the season after they battled Warsaw to a 34-26 win! Great job team!

Great work by the LMS soccer teams who took on Nokomis at home today. Boys played well but ended with a 3-1 loss. Girls battle and ended with a 2-2 tie. Teams are back in action Friday at home vs. Troy Howard.

Friday afternoon the OTHS field hockey lost a tough 1-0 battle with Dexter. The Coyotes look to bounce back next week with games on Monday at Piscataquis and Thursday hosting Hampden

The OTHS Cross Country teams competed in their 3rd meet of the season today in the 11 School PVC / KVAC Crossover Meet at Saxl Park in Bangor, where the girls team was able to post their first team score of the season, finishing in 4th place. Leading the way for the girls team was Liz Preble in 15th, followed by Izzy Howard in 26th, Linzy Heitmann in 27th, Lily Heitmann in 30th and Harper Oakes, running her first high school cross country meet, in 38th. For the boys, Owen Dunn finished 37th with a time of 20:49.96. The teams are home next Saturday, hosting the 76th Sectional XC Invitational, starting at 1PM.

Coyote Football earns its 3rd win with a 44-8 victory over Mt. Ararat in their home opener

LMS field hockey was on the road to Hermon this afternoon. After some long practice nights this week, the girls out worked Hermon in the second half, but couldn't quite get over the hump, ending with a 4-2 loss. Great work this week girls. Time for some rest!

LMS soccer teams traveled over to Hampden today to battle the Broncos. After an early goal, the girls couldn't find the back of the net to tie things up, ending with a 1-0 loss. The boys stayed scoreless for the entire 60 minutes of play, ending with a 0-0 tie. Next up is Nokomis on Monday.

Coyote Girls soccer drops a tough battle to Orono 2-0.

LMS football continues to roll with a big win tonight over Ellsworth 48-12! Moving the team to 3-0 on the season. Following the final horn Coach Jacobson immediately headed for the hospital for the delivery of baby number 3! Congratulations Coach Jacobson and welcome baby Iris!
