Another Senior Recognition tonight for our Coyotes as we got to celebrate the World Famous Coyote Pep Band Members - An extension of the court, these members are responsible for creating the best atmosphere in Northern Maine Basketball - Thank You to our Pep Band Senior Members - your sound and support will eco in the walls of Mackenzie for eternity!

Busy day in Mackenzie as the Coyotes welcomed the Witches for a 3 game series - Tough night for the Yotes - going 0-3 against the Witches 1st Team - 41-26 L JV - 46-30 L Varsity - 52-40 Final home game on Saturday as we welcome the Crusaders to Mackenzie!

LMS basketball didn't have much time to rest as they were back on court vs. Cohen this afternoon. The boys played on the road where they finished with a couple hard fought losses. The girls played home and faced a tough Eagles squad. Even though the score didn't show it, our girls never gave in and kept their heads held high. Shout out to our 8th graders who played in their last home game as an LMS coyote. Thank you to Cassidy, Emilee, Holly and Zoey for your dedication to our basketball program!

LMS basketball teams took to the hardwood for a few games vs Hermon this afternoon. The girls played on the road and after a couple of hard fought games, came away with a pair of losses. The boys played home were both teams finished with decisive victories. B team final 33-23, A team final 63-47. Team are back in action tomorrow vs. Cohen.

Final event of the night took place down the interstate at PIA - we got to say thanks and show our Coyote LOVE to the one we dub "The Trader" - Lily Rand Senior game was played for the PIO's tonight, she gave us 3 solid years at OTHS before finishing her career out with Orono - Thank you Lily and you will always be a Coyote regardless of what your diploma reads and the door is always open to our pep band!

Senior Night in Mackenzie for our competition cheer team - Tonight we get to say farewell and good luck to our 4 Senior Ladies as they cheered the final game of the winter season in Mackenzie - Ms. Hill, Ms. Whalen, Ms. Trimm, and Ms. Pooler - thank you and best of luck - Good Luck to the team on Saturday as they Travel south for the north B regional competition!

Need to grab an aspirin to calm the old ticker down after those two games- Lady Coyotes making Mackenzie tense for both the JV and the Varsity games - JV lost with under a second on the board 31-30L - Varsity said, hold on watch this.... The game came down to the wire and OT Ladies pulled out a 50-48W.... 1 game left in the regular season and then tournament time as OTHS is looking to go in #2 in class B North

- Senior Recognition - The last games of the night in Mackenzie featured our Boys Basketball 🏀 program welcoming Caribou - Senior Night for the Yotes as we celebrated our class of 2025 Members - Boys played hard to a 78-47 L, JV played the last games of the day and fought hard to a 64-49 L - Thank you to our two Seniors and the time/effort they gave to the program over the years. Onto the next!

A day of celebration of OTHS Athletes past and present - First we honored the Historic 2025 Girls 🎾 Tennis 🎾 Program as they earned the programs first ever undefeated season, first ever Northern Maine Championship, and First ever Class B State Runner-Up Title - the members of the team were recognized at halftime of the girls basketball 🏀 game. OTHS was honored to recognize the Class of 2025 Inductees to the Athletic Hall of Fame - this class saw 27 Regional and State Championships - Congratulations on OTHS newest members - Andy Sibley ('96), Eric Hoogterp ('15), Coach Jenn Plourde, Paul Bouchard ('71), Brooke Salinski ('17), and Corey Thibodeau ('93) - Well Deserved

- Senior Day In Mackenzie -Dominant performance by the lady Coyotes today for Senior Day, JV up first against Caribou 38-19 W, Varsity following up with a 59-41W and locking in 2nd in heals! We got to celebrate our seniors today as well, thank you all for the dedication, the smiles, and the competition you have brought to the program!

🎉 OTHS Cheer heading to the North for the PVC Cheer Competition- Hosted by Stearns HS - Ladies with a strong finish, finishing 4th, best finish of the year so far! Ramping up for Regionals and States! Good work ladies 📣

LMS Cheering competed in their second competition of the season at the Golden Bucks Invitational in Bucksport this afternoon. The team had a great showing finishing in a solid 5th place. Congrats to Gabby for winning the tumbling competition! The team will finish out the season with the OTHS and LMS showcase on Thursday 1/28 followed by the Doughty Cheering Invitational at Bangor High School on Friday 1/30.

Varsity basketball teams on the road to MDI tonight, Girls basketball 🏀 up first and come away with the 51 - 38 win 🏆 for the lady coyotes - Boys Basketball 🏀 team played tough but a talented MDI team pulled away 82-50 L for the boys.... Big day on Saturday as we welcome Caribou and a new class to the Athletics Hall of Fame!

Today - We will play Varsity Only @ MDI - Girls 5:30/ Boys 7 PM - Bus 3:30 PM - We will have a date for the JV games at a later time.
