Varsity basketball teams on the road to MDI tonight, Girls basketball 🏀 up first and come away with the 51 - 38 win 🏆 for the lady coyotes - Boys Basketball 🏀 team played tough but a talented MDI team pulled away 82-50 L for the boys.... Big day on Saturday as we welcome Caribou and a new class to the Athletics Hall of Fame!


Today - We will play Varsity Only @ MDI - Girls 5:30/ Boys 7 PM - Bus 3:30 PM - We will have a date for the JV games at a later time.

RSU 34:: There will be a one hour delay in RSU 34 today, Thursday January 22nd.

Today's events significantly disrupted the school day. Due to the number of student dismissals, we are unable to field teams for this afternoon's games and events. All games will be rescheduled, and practices are cancelled. Make-Up dates and times will be communicated at a later time.

Update: Tomorrow's (1/21) OTHS and LMS Cheer showcase has been rescheduled for Thursday 1/29 in the LMS gym. Doors open at 5:00.

Events Week - Jan 19th Week - Busy Week Again!

I ❤️ love ❤️ it when a plan comes together - Proud of our little sports community and our 📣 OTHS Cheer team 📣 as we came together to execute the Big East Cheer Competition today in Mackenzie Gym - 13 team event that was shifted at the last minute and required our team to be present at 6 AM to setup our facility to host - Girls did amazing on mat and amazing job hosting a packed Mackenzie Gym! Again, very proud of our community as it came together, thank you to Julia and Mak Money our powerful co-coaches, OTHS Boosters, our Volunteers, Officials, Toby Nelson (stepping up at the last minute), and most of all our OTHS Cheer Team - onto the next Competition Ladies!🤸






The OTHS Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams both came away with 2nd place team finishes this morning in the their 9 team regular season meet at the UMaine Fieldhouse. Leading the way for the girls was Ely Briggs who remained undefeated in the High Jump and placed 3rd in the 400, while Liz Preble was 3rd in the 2 Mile & 6th in the Mile, Addison Hill was 4th in the 200 & 5th in the Hurdles, Meredith Cyr was 4th in the 800, Ruby Whitmore was 4th in the Hurdles, Izzy Howard was 4th in the Mile, Olivia Lizzotte was 6th in both the 55 & Triple Jump and Chloe Henry was 5th in the 2 Mile and in the Relays, the 4x800 team of Olivia Barthelemy, Preble, Henry & Cyr finished 2nd and the 4x200 team of Lizzotte, Barthelemy, Lindsay Mockler & Briggs also finished 2nd. For the boys, Noah Briggs also stayed unbeaten in the High Jump and also placed 1st in Triple Jump and was 5th in Long Jump to lead the way, while Cooper Neely was 3rd in the 800, Aidan Sucy was 3rd in the 200, CJ Yanush was 3rd in the Hurdles, Maximus Ramos was 4th in the 400, Cullen Lothian was 4th in Long Jump, Parker Day was 4th in Triple Jump and Carter Osnoe was 4th in the Shot Put. In the boys Relays, the 4x200 team of Sucy, Neely, Lothian & Ramos and the 4x800 team of Ramos, Lothian, Mason Choiniere & Neely both finished 2nd. The teams are now off for 2 weeks before returning and wrapping up the regular season back at UMaine on Friday Jan. 30.

While Mr. B was busy planning a massive cheer event, our teams plugged away at some competitions - here is some updates on scores!

LMS basketball team were back in action last night vs. the Warriors of Nokomis. The girls played home and all though the scores didn't go in our favor, the effort and sportsmanship of our teams certainly did. The boys played on the road and came away with two victories! B team final 43-35, A team final 50-34. Teams are back at it 1/21 vs. Hermon.




Mackenzie Gym looked a little different tonight as we welcomed PCW to host a home meet against Camden Hills, Gardiner, and Lincoln Academy - PCW swept the night with wins across the mat against all competitions! We also had a chance to honor our senior members, especially Mr. Elijah Tinkle of OTHS, on the years of service to the program!

What a night for OTHS Basketball as the Coyotes completed a 4-game sweep of John Bapst from top to bottom!
🔥 JV Girls battled hard for a gritty 39–34 win
🔥 JB Boys locked in a 55–50 victory
🔥 Varsity Girls dominated on both ends with a 52–38 win
🔥 Varsity Boys delivered a thrilling 52–48 win — the FIRST win of the season and Coach Melvin’s first victory at the helm!

Man might have taken 5 quarters, but the OTHS Girls 🏀 caught fire 🔥 in the first overtime to pull away with a 54-44W against #5 Ellsworth - Girls move to 9-2 on the season and at this point still in 1st of the Class B North Heals - annnnnnddddddd in case you missed it, the JV Girls 🏀 team had a heck of an outing battling to a 30-22W in front of a packed Mackenzie Gym!

Leading the boys to their team victory were Aidan Sucy with a 2nd in the 200 & a 3rd in the 55, Noah Briggs 1st in High Jump & 5th in Long Jump, CJ Yanush 2nd in the Hurdles, Parker Day 2nd in Long Jump and Cooper Neely 3rd in the 800. Also scoring points for the boys were Hunter Stoup 3rd in Triple Jump, Cullen Lothian 4th in Long Jump, Carter Osnoe 4th in Shot Put, Marcus Cote 4th in Triple Jump, Maximus Ramos 5th in the 400 and Mason Chioniere 6th in the 800. The boys 4x800 Relay team of Ramos, Lothian, Choiniere & Neely finished 2nd, while the 4x200 Relay team of Sucy, Neely, Lothian & Yanush closed out the scoring with a 1st place finish. Next Saturday morning the teams are back at UMaine for a 9:40am start.

OT Cheer traveling to Morse High School to test out some pre-comp skills. The team had a change to compete, to learn, and come away with a plan on things to work toward. Next comp is the Big East Invitational on Saturday at OTHS!
