Friday afternoon the OTHS field hockey lost a tough 1-0 battle with Dexter. The Coyotes look to bounce back next week with games on Monday at Piscataquis and Thursday hosting Hampden



The OTHS Cross Country teams competed in their 3rd meet of the season today in the 11 School PVC / KVAC Crossover Meet at Saxl Park in Bangor, where the girls team was able to post their first team score of the season, finishing in 4th place. Leading the way for the girls team was Liz Preble in 15th, followed by Izzy Howard in 26th, Linzy Heitmann in 27th, Lily Heitmann in 30th and Harper Oakes, running her first high school cross country meet, in 38th. For the boys, Owen Dunn finished 37th with a time of 20:49.96. The teams are home next Saturday, hosting the 76th Sectional XC Invitational, starting at 1PM.

Coyote Football earns its 3rd win with a 44-8 victory over Mt. Ararat in their home opener

LMS field hockey was on the road to Hermon this afternoon. After some long practice nights this week, the girls out worked Hermon in the second half, but couldn't quite get over the hump, ending with a 4-2 loss. Great work this week girls. Time for some rest!


LMS soccer teams traveled over to Hampden today to battle the Broncos. After an early goal, the girls couldn't find the back of the net to tie things up, ending with a 1-0 loss. The boys stayed scoreless for the entire 60 minutes of play, ending with a 0-0 tie. Next up is Nokomis on Monday.

LMS Cross Country team competed in their first meet of the season today at home. The team had a great showing with the girls team finishing in 2nd while the boys grabbed the top spot! Individual finishes were as follows:
Heidi Carlson 1st, Libby Lebsack 6th, Ameila Bonawitz 16th, Vivian Lundstrom 17th, Chloe Lane 22nd, Limel Emery 23rd, Marley-Marie Merchant 26th.

Coyote Girls soccer drops a tough battle to Orono 2-0.

LMS football continues to roll with a big win tonight over Ellsworth 48-12! Moving the team to 3-0 on the season. Following the final horn Coach Jacobson immediately headed for the hospital for the delivery of baby number 3! Congratulations Coach Jacobson and welcome baby Iris!

LMS soccer teams were in action at home tonight vs. the Bulldogs of Doughty. The girls played first, ending with a hard fought 1-1 tie. The boys finished the night with some great effort but falling 2-0. Teams travel to Hampden on Thursday.

LMS field hockey held their home opener vs Brewer tonight. The team faced a tough Witches squad with the final score being 7-0. The Coyotes are back at on Friday when they travel to Hermon.

The OTHS Cross Country team traveled to Presque Isle today to compete in the Presque Isle XC Invitational. For the girls, Liz Preble led the way with a 9th place finish, running an individual course personal best time of 22:52.29, while Lily Heitmann finished 16th, Izzy Howard was 20th and Linzy Heitmann was 22nd. Next up is the PVC/KVAC Crossover Meet next Saturday at Saxl Park in Bangor.

LMS Field Hockey got their season officially underway in Hampden this afternoon. Ending with a 4-1 loss. The girls will hold their home opener Monday vs Brewer.

LMS football held their home opener at Victory Field today as they played host to the Lions from Belfast. It was a battle of the defenses until the 3rd quarter where the Coyotes finally started to find some offensive momentum. Final score 20-6! Next up is Ellsworth Wed. 9/16 at home.




The Old Town golf team hosted Brewer and Hermon at Hidden Meadows for a regular season PVC match.
The low score medal was awarded to Carter Charette of Brewer who shot a 38.
