LMS basketball teams took to the hardwood for their second games of the season vs Doughty this afternoon. The boys were on the road where the "A" team took a hard fought 56-51 loss, while the "B" team came away with a 40-36 win! The girls stayed home where the "A" team fell 46-21, but the "B" team came away with a big win 42-13! Teams are back in action Friday vs. Brewer.

Girls Basketball 🏀 opening the season today by welcoming PI to Mackenzie Gym - Basketball season off to a fast start with the JV Girls hitting the court first 27-40 L - Varsity ending the 4 game day with a solid 42-34 W, the only win of the day! Lead by a solid effort from T. Loring and E. Ketch leading the team on the hard wood! Next game Wednesday with ELL

The OTHS Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams opened the season today at the New Balance Fieldhouse at U. Maine in a 9 team meet. The girls team started off the season well, finishing 2nd behind another strong Bangor team, while the boys team also had a good first meet finishing 4th. Individual point scorers for the girls were Lucy Vellieux (1st in Long Jump & 1st in Triple Jump), Ely Briggs (1st in High Jump & 3rd in Long Jump), Olivia Lizzotte (2nd in the 55 & 3rd in Triple Jump), Ruby Whitmore (2nd in Hurdles), Natalie Fournier (4th in the 55 & 6th in High Jump), Addison Hill (5th in Hurdles) Chloe Henry (6th in the Mile) and Lindsay Mockler (6th in Long Jump), while the 4 x 200 Relay team of Lizzotte, Olivia Barthelemy, Mockler & Vellieux finished 2nd. Point scorers for the boys were Noah Briggs (1st in High Jump & 2nd in Triple Jump), Cooper Neely (1st in the 400), Carter Osnoe (4th in Shot Put), Parker Day (4th in Triple Jump), Max Ramos (5th in the 800), DJ Davis (6th in the 200) and Hunter Stoup (6th in Triple Jump), and the 4 x 200 Relay team of Aidan Sucy, Neely, Davis & CJ Yanush rounded out the scoring finishing 2nd. The teams now have a week off before their next meet back at U. Maine in two weeks.

Home Opener for the Boys Basketball 🏀 team today as we hosted our friends from the North Presque Isle - JV on the floor first playing to a 68-46 L and 0-1 on the season. Varsity opened up the season next with a fast pace PI team - 67-47 L saw B. Vose leading the team with 16! Orono on Tuesday....

🐻 Varsity OTO Hockey 🏒 opening the season on the road to PI... Long Coach ride but a needed continued learning lesson for this young team. Good PI team finished with a 10-2 W against the Black Bears 🐻- back in action on Wednesday, 12/10 v. Hampden - Home Opener!

Reminder - JROTC is partnering with other local JROT programs to collect new, unwrapped toys for donation to the Toys for Tots program. We will have a collection box in the lobby from now, until December 10th. Bring a toy to the basketball game on December 6th for free admission!

The OTHS Cross Country team held their awards banquet last night. Thanks to team members Chloe Henry, Lily Heitmann, Liz Preble, Linzy Heitmann, Izzy Howard, CJ Yanush and Alex Roach for an enjoyable and successful season. And a special thank you to seniors Chloe and CJ for your dedication and commitment to the program.

Not doing anything tomorrow night - November 12th - Come learn about winter athletic programs for OTHS from 6-7 PM located in the lobby (open house style) - HEY 👋 AND WHILE AT OTHS, stop in and visit your child's teacher as we have Parent/Student/Teacher conferences from 3:30-7 PM - two birds, one stone!
