The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams traveled to Cameron Stadium in Bangor today. The girls' team turned in another very good performance, finishing a close 2nd to Class A Bangor in the six team meet. Leading the way for the girls, who had 14 girls score individual points, were Ely Briggs with a 1st in High Jump and 3rd place finishes in the 400 & Long Jump, Olivia Lizzotte with a 2nd in the Javelin and 3rd in both the 100 & Triple Jump, Kylee Murray with a 1st in Javelin, 3rd in Shot Put & 4th in Discus, Oliva Ketch with a 1st in Shot Put and a 5th in discus and Emma Mushero, 1st in the Racewalk. Finishing in 2nd place were Linzy Heitmann in the Racewalk and Olivia Barthelemy in the 400, Liz Preble was 3rd in the 1600 & 5th in the 800, while Taylor Loring in the 800 & Lily Rand in the Javelin finished 3rd, Mikayla Johnston in the 200, Emma Ketch in the High Jump & Crystal Thacker in the Javelin finished 4th, Ava Harvey was 5th in Triple Jump & 6th in Pole Vault, while Lily Heitmann in the 3200 & Javelin, Libby Saucier in the 200, Chloe Henry in the 800 and Ruby Whitmore in the 300 Hurdles all finished 6th. The girls also had strong performances from the relays as well, with the 4x800 team of Lexi Wesley, Henry, Lily Heitmann & Loring finishing 1st and the 4x100 team of Lizzotte, Saucier, Johnston & Barthelemy and the 4x400 team of Barthelemy, Johnston, Saucier & Loring both finishing 2nd. The boys team, again undermanned due to injuries finished in 5th place in the team results led by the individual 2nd place finishes of Noah Briggs in the High Jump & Triple Jump and Killian Pottle in the Shot Put & Javelin, while Tyler Michaud was 3rd in the Triple Jump, and Sam Cote in the Discus, Chase Dodge in the Javelin & Joey Porter in the Shot Put finished 5th and Hunter Stoup was 6th in the Triple Jump. The boys also received points from the 4x100 relay team of Chase Dodge, Mackinnon Speed, DJ Davis & Logan Dodge in 3rd and the 4x400 relay team of Mason Choiniere, DJ Davis, Logan Dodge & Marcus Cote in 6th. The teams are back home for a Friday afternoon meet next week.
MPA Singles Tournament will resume Monday due to weather - We still have some Coyotes battling for tournament wins - On the courts on Monday starting in Brewer!
Yotes down on the Island for a matchup against MDI before the rain - Baseball suffered its first loss with an 8th-Inning 3-2L - Softball also came home on the wrong side of winning with a 7-6L.... A little break till next week for BB/SB!

Tennis 🎾 Team taking to the indoor courts of the Armstrong Tennis center for some matches v. JB today. Coyotes continued dominance on the courts with the Boys rallying to a 3-2 W and moving to 3-2 on the year, Girls continuing the undefeated season with a 4-1 W and still undefeated at 5-0.... day break till its singles tennis 🎾 time!
Victory Fields just buzzing tonight with W's from our "never give in" attitude of our Softball and Baseball teams! Softball battled every inning to come away with a 9-8W and move to 2-1 on the season, Baseball made it interesting with a walk off go ahead run in the bottom of the 7th to score a 6-5W and move to 3-0 on the season! A trip to the coast this Saturday, let's wish the rain away!

The Ellsworth Eagles baseball and softball teams flew into town to take on our LMS Coyotes to kick off our spring season this afternoon. Softball fell 11-4 moving to 0-1 to start the season. Baseball followed with a 7-3 loss. That didn’t stop our baseball team showing support for two Ellsworth players who were severely injured in an accident last week. The team made up a banner and stickers they will be wearing on their helmets for the remainder of the season. Way to represent LMS team!
OTHS Baseball ⚾️ and Softball 🥎 flew into Hawk country for an afternoon on the fields. Softball battled hard with some great offense and pitching resulting in a 8-5 W and 1-1 on season. Baseball took 8-innings to figure it out, but the Yotes battled to a 4-1 W and 2-0 on the season, Home opener for both on Thursday!
OTHS Tennis 🎾 back in action again today as they welcomed Ellsworth to the courts. Teams walk away with 2 W's - Ladies 3-2 and move to 4-0, Men play to a 5-0W and move to 2-2 on the year! One day break and back at it on Thursday....
A little tennis 🎾 action on this beautiful afternoon as the team welcomed cross river rivals Orono to the courts... Boys battled but fell 1-4L and moved to 1-2 on the season, while the Girls dominated the afternoon with another 5-0W and moved to 3-0 on the year... Ellsworth tomorrow....
JV Baseball/Softball today at Hermon has been postponed due to Hermon Field conditions - makeup date is TBD - Saturday game for JV Baseball v. MDI is also going to be rescheduled - more information to come!
The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams opened the season at home yesterday in a 10 team meet at the Victory Field Track Complex. The girls' team turned in a strong opening day meet performance with a dominant first place team finish winning seven individual events and all three relays. Leading the way individually were Olivia Lizzotte with 1st place finishes in the 100 & Javelin and a 2nd in Triple Jump, Lucy Veilleux with a 1st in the Long Jump with a New School Record and Old Town Facility Record and a 1st in the Triple Jump with a New Old Town Facility Record, Ely Briggs with a 1st in the High Jump with a New School Record and Overall OTHS Facility Record and a 5th in Long Jump and Freshman Olivia Ketch who started her high school track career with 1st place finishes in the Shot Put and Discus. The girls swept all 3 relays with Lizzotte, Mikayla Johnston, Olivia Barthelemy & Briggs in the 4x100, Barthelemy, Johnston, Briggs & Taylor Loring in the 4x400 and Loring, Liz Preble, Chloe Henry & Lily Heitmann in 4x800 all finishing first. Other individual point scorers were Kylee Murray Johnston, Barthelemy, Henry, Linzy Heitmann, Loring, Yerxa, Preble, Ruby Whitmore & Lily Heitmann. For the undermanned boys team, they opened the season with a 5th place finish in the ten team meet, led by Noah Briggs with a 1st in the Triple Jump and a tie for 2nd in the High Jump and Hayna Francis with a 3rd in the Long Jump before getting injured. The 4x400 Relay team of Marcus Cote, DJ Davis, Maximus Ramos & Logan Dodge finished 3rd and the 4x100 Relay team of Chase Dodge, Mackinnon Speed, Davis & Logan Dodge finished 4th. Other individual point scorers for the boys were Chase Dodge 4th in the Javelin, Logan Dodge 5th in the 100, Alex Roach 6th in the 800 and Hunter Stoup 6th in High Jump. The teams return to action next Saturday with a meet at Bangor.
OTHS Track - Starting a new tradition - before our opening day outdoor track meet yesterday, we recognized and said thank you to senior members of our recently completed Indoor Track season, Hayna Francis, Kaiden and Kameron Plourde, Cameron Jones, Miles Felcman, Killian Pottle, Teg Coiley, Tyler Michaud, Kevin Murray, Joey Porter, Kylee Murray, Mikayla Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet, Alexis Wesley, Emily Wheeler, Crystal Thacker and Raykesha Quinones for service and commitment to the Indoor Track program.
OT Softball 🥎 opening the season down at Ellsworth - Varsity with a heartbreaker losing on a walk off in the 11th inning, losing 2-1 and starting 0-1 on the year. JV redeemed the heartbreak by pulling an 11-7 W on the road in Ellsworth - Overall solid opening for both teams and back in action next week!
OT Baseball ⚾️ opening the season on the road to Ellsworth - Varsity with a great come back win against a strong Ellsworth team 5-4W - move to 1-0 on the season.... JV with a dominating win over Ellsworth 19-7 and joining Varsity at 1-0 on the season. Back in action next week!
OT Tennis 🎾 in action v. FA - Ponies proved to be strong team all around but the Coyotes came out swinging.... Girls team move to 2-0 with a 5-0 sweep of the Ponies, Boys battled but fell 1-1 on the season with a 3-2L - Orono on Monday!
