Breaking LMS Athletic news: Todays Girls basketball game at Ellsworth has been postponed due to many Ellsworth players out sick. Make up date is TBD. Girls will practice after the boys game at OTES 6:15-7:15.

Girls turn again this week as Basketball 🏀 hosted a couple of schools today in Mackenzie. Brewer in town for a JV bout against the Coyotes and it came down to 1, 35-34 L - Varsity saw a game where everyone played and almost everyone scored as the Shiretowners came to Mackenzie - Girls move to 6-4 on the season with a 56-8 W


LMS Boys and Girls basketball team faced off against Cohen again on this chilly January afternoon. The girls team had another couple off tough losses. Final scores "A" team 56-18, followed by the "B" team 33-20. The boys finally played back on their home court where the "B" team made the game interesting going into the 2nd half, but ended with a 52-36 loss. The "A" pulled off another big 66-38. A warm place on a cold night as Mackenzie Gym heated up with a Big East battle between MDI and the Coyotes - 3 game series starting with the 1st team 71-40 L, JV next with a 63-39 W, and Varsity ending the night with a tight 67-52L.... back in action on Thursday...


Black Bears 🐻 hosting our friends from the North PI - some makeup Hockey 🏒 from last week, game settled out to a 7-1 L for the Black Bears as they came off a tough weekend of play.... Next game is Thursday at the Alfond as they welcome the Witches!

A couple of great Basketball 🏀 games in Mackenzie tonight as the Lady Yotes played host to MDI - JV battled to a 33-28 L - Varsity's tough D and great perimeter shooting earned a 46-24 W over top ranked MDI - moving to 5-4 on the season!

Busy Week in athletics for OTHS and LMS

🤼♂️ Mackenzie Gym looked a little different today as OTHS hosted its first wrestling meet in over 15 years as PCW welcomed Erskine, Messo, and Gardiner High School for a quad meet! We had a great opportunity to honor our Seniors, especially OTHS very own Robbie Murray. Fun and long day of wrestling! 🤼♀️







Boys Basketball 🏀 looking to repeat the success of the Girls team as they travel to the Hawks - 3 game day that saw 1st team L 75-35, JV team with a L 73-47, but Varsity pulling off a nail biter 42-40 W - moving to 3-5 on the season!

NPV Swim 🏊 traveling down state to Camden area for a heads up swim meet against Camden Hills High School - Again many State Qualifying Times achieved and an impressive swim for both teams - Girls lost a close meet 135-130 and Boys swam away with a W 80-54!






OTO Hockey 🏒 make-up date - Monday, Jan. 6th at 7:15 PM at the Alfond v. PI- this is the make up for the game that got postponed due to no power

Girls Basketball 🏀 bouncing away with 2 W's in Mackenzie as they played host to Hermon Hawks - JV with a dominating W 46 - 34 - never giving the lead up all game - Varsity with a nail biting foul fest that saw the Coyotes pull away with foul shots 34-32 - 4-4 on the season with a bunch of games coming over the next 2-weeks!


LMS Boys and Girls basketball teams were in action vs Cohen on this Friday afternoon. The girls played home where they faced a couple of tough teams leading to both A and B team losses. The boys were on the road once again, where the B team battled for a 45-25 loss. The A team played great and secured their first win of the season 56-41! Teams will have another go at Cohen on Tuesday.

Due to the Alfond and much of Orono losing power, the OTO v. PI game is postponed to a later date. Apologies to those that traveled!

Athletic Events - Dec. 30th Week

Black Bears 🐻 home opener v. BOOM at the Alfond - Varsity with 32 shots on goal Baker with the loan goal 🥅 ending with a 1-1 overtime game - JV playing host to the final athletic events of the year as Brewer skated in - 7-4L for the JV 🐻's


OTHS Boys basketball 🏀 traveled to Ellsworth for a 3 game series that had the Yotes traveling home with 3 L's - 1st Team 64-38, JV 59-39, Var 61-29 - program has a week to settle and move forward till the next round of games!

The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams were in action today in a large regular season meet, which included Bangor, Brewer, Hampden, Orono and four other schools, with both teams finishing in 4th place in the team results. Leading the way individually for the girls were Lucy Veilleux with a 1st in Triple Jump and 2nd in Long Jump, Ely Briggs 1st in High Jump, Lily Heitmann 1st in the 2 Mile, Kylee Murray 2nd in Shot Put, Liz Preble 4th in the Mile and Olivia Lizzotte 6th in Triple Jump. While the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, Preble, Chloe Henry & Heitmann finished 2nd, and the 4x200M Relay team of Lizzotte, Mikayla Johnston, Olivia Barthelemy & Emily Wheeler finished 4th. Individually for the boys, Hayna Francis was 3rd in the 800 and 4th in Long Jump, Noah Briggs was 3rd in Triple Jump and tied 4th in High Jump, CJ Yanush in Long Jump and Killian Pottle in Shot Put both finished 3rd, while Cooper Neely in the 400, Kaiden Plourde in the 800, Kameron Plourde in the Mile, Parker Day in Triple Jump and Joey Porter in Shot Put all finished 5th. Also for the boys, the 4x800M Relay team of Neely, Kaiden Plourde, Kameron Plourde & Francis finished 1st and the 4x200M Relay team of Tyler Michaud, Neely, Kaiden Plourde & Yanush rounded in the scoring in 4th. The teams now have a break from competition for 2 weeks, returning to the track on January 11th.

NPV Swim Traveled downstate on Friday for a tri-meet v. Cony HS and JB - Teams and Individuals set multiple qualifying times - Despite missing a ton of people, Girls NPV Swim came home with 2 W's beating Cony and JB, Boys NPV Swim lost by 1 to Cony and beat JB.... nice day in the water
