RSU #34 is thrilled to share our back-to-school issue of Community Connections! Inside you will read about some of the great endeavors of our students and staff, along with important back-to-school info such as school start/end times and bus routes. Please help your kids to be on time every day this year!
This issue is dedicated to the memory of our late Board member David Wollstadt, who contributed in many ways to the school district and community.

OTHS will also be continuing with surface work on the Baseball Diamond - we are leveling and adding material to the playing surface, as well as working on drainage projects around the facility. In the time being, please stay off the surface as this work is being completed- Thank you!

As Mr. Gordon's favorite NASCAR driver says, "There's always room for improvement." - Joey Logano - With that mindset the improvements continue at the OTHS Athletic fields as we move to increase safety and access to our facility. The improved retaining wall will allow for a safe playing surface, as well as incoming pavement and walkway will improve our ADA accessibility to our facility.... Once again thank you to the support of our community and contractors for allowing us to continually improve!

All of our librarian roles are filled for the upcoming school year, but we ARE still recruiting a few members to join our RSU #34 team! https://www.rsu34.org/page/employment-applications-and-vacancies
You can get started on a career in education in one of several entry-level roles - we support college tuition so you can keep learning and growing, opening up future opportunities!
We just added a grant-funded intervention teaching role as well, and seek an additional Special Education teacher to join our team and help reduce caseloads. Educational Technicians support our students in a variety of ways. We have a couple of coach openings for fall middle school athletics, and we always seek substitutes. Please visit and share our employment page!

As of current, the football camp scheduled for tonight is still going on... more updates to come!

Due to construction on the retaining wall, we ask that you stay off the sidewalk, press box area, and softball field as we repair this area. Thank you

FREE FREE FREE Football Camp for our community! Put on by the OTHS Football Coaching Staff - Learn the sport, improve your skills, and have some fun. July. 31st - Aug. 2nd at OTHS Victory Field! For grades 3 - 8 and all are welcome!

Reminder for our Athletic families - an athlete at LMS and OTHS is required to have a physical on file. LMS requires 1 per 3 years at LMS and OTHS required 1 per 4 years at OTHS. This would be for all new athletes to our programs, if you are a returning athlete, you should be all set! This needs to be done before an athlete can start participation in our athletics. Sports start on Aug. 14th!

Just a reminder - Fall Schedules are up and already being updated! Find them from our RSU Athletics page - https://www.rsu34.org/o/athletics/documents/oths-athletic-schedules/fall-sports-schedules/41939
