LMS Soccer played home today vs. Cohen. The boys played first and fell 8-2. The girls also came away with a loss 3-0. Both teams are back in action tomorrow vs. Hermon right here at LMS.

The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams traveled to the county today for the Greater Houlton Cross Country Border Bash and received strong individual performances and a 3rd place team finish by the girls team. The girls received top 10 finishes from Lily Heitmann in 6th and Lida Kanoti in 10th, while Lexi Wesley finished 18th, Chloe Henry was 25th and Liz Preble rounded out the girls scoring in 34th. For the boys, Hayna Francis ran a 5K personal best time of 18:17 and finished a strong 6th individually, while Griffen Henderson finished up his first race on this challenging course in 49th. The teams continue their season with the PVC Large School Championship Meet next Saturday at Ellsworth High School.

Golf Season wrapped up today with the Class B State Championship Match at Natanis GC - Nate Baker scored a 81 finishing T13 and Charlotte Blanchard scored a 93 and finished 3rd in the state - Congratulations to PI Wildcats for winning the State B Golf Championship!

Lady Coyotes take on the Ellsworth Eagles at home. First up on the day was JV with a 1-1 tie after 60 minutes of play. Ava B. with goal for the coyotes and Keely K. contributed in net. Varsity next against a very aggressive Ellsworth team, ending in a 2-2 tie after double overtime. Karina D. & Rhiannon B. with a goal a piece, Olivia L. with both assists. Danica B. contributed in net with 14 saves on 16 shots.

The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams turned in some strong performances today at the 22nd Annual Festival of Champions Meet in Belfast, with nearly 100 schools from all over New England, Nova Scotia and Maine. The girls' team finished 35th overall in the huge field and were 3rd among Class B Northern Maine schools, as every member of the girls' team ran a 5K personal best time with Lida Kanoti leading the way with a 22:07, followed by Lily Heitmann at 22:22, Lexi Wesley at 23:54, Chloe Henry at 24:33 and Liz Preble at 26:26. The two members of the boys' team running today also turned in personal best 5K times, with Hayna Francis running 18:54 and Griffin Henderson running 23:23. The teams travel to the county next Saturday for Houlton Invitational.
