The Class B Outdoor Track and Field Championships were held yesterday on a cold and rainy day at Freeport High School, and because of the weather, the meet is not officially over as the boys High Jump and girls and boys Pole Vaults still need to be completed at some point this coming week. But as of yesterday, the girls team was in 5th place, being led by Grace Willey with a 1st in the 100M Hurdles & a 3rd in the High Jump and Dominique Reinzo with 2nd places finishes in the Shot Put & Javelin and a 6th in Discus. They also received points from Bella Damboise (6th in Shot Put), Taylor Loring (8th in the 400M), Cassidy Rackliffe (8th in the 3200M), 5th place finishes from the 4x400M Relay team of Loring, Karina Dumond, Lexi Wesley & Kayleigh Johnston and the 4x800M Relay team of Wesley, Rackliffe, Myah Worster & Loring and had an 8th place finish from the 4x100M Relay team of Olivia Lizzotte, Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet & Libby Saucier. For the boys team, currently in 10th place, Corbin Flewelling with individual wins in the Long Jump & Triple Jump and James Cote with a 5th in the Long Jump & 6th in the 110M Hurdles were leading the way. Once this meet is completed this week, with Flewelling, Cote and Grayson Thibeault still needing to do the High Jump, a few team members may be heading to the New England Championship Meet next Saturday in Bangor.

A little JV action tonight on an absolutely beautiful afternoon at Victory Fields - JV ⚾️/ 🥎 facing JB - Softball made quick work of the Crusaders with a 13-1W - Baseball had a great outing and impressive play lead to a 6-2W - Teams play the final game on the road to JB on Monday, June 5th at 4:30 PM!

The PVC Outdoor Track Frosh Championship Meet was held today at Hampden Acad., and the eight girls who attended the meet turned in strong performances. In the 100M Dash, Libby Saucier finished 3rd, and Olivia Lizzotte was 4th, while Olivia Barthelemy and Chloe Henry recorded personal bests. In the 800M Run, Taylor Loring finished up in 2nd place, while in the 200M Dash, Barthelemy and Ely Briggs turned in personal bests. In the High Jump, Karina Dumond finished first, while in the Triple Jump, Lizzotte was 2nd, Briggs was 3rd, and Dumond was 5th. And in the 4x100M Relay, the girls had two teams' place, the A team of Lizzotte, Loring, Dumond & Saucier finished 1st and the B team of Ava Harvey, Barthelemy, Henry & Briggs was 6th.

Coyote Varsity Baseball ⚾️ and Softball 🥎 finished out the regular season v. JB today at Victory Fields - Softball played to a short inning 10-0W and finish 12-4 on the season currently sitting 3rd in Heal Points - Baseball went out with a bang lead by Gabe Gifford's No-hit performance on the mound in which he accounted for 21 outs of the game with a 4-0W. The team finished 13-3 on the season and currently sit 2nd in the heals! Impressive regular reason for the Coyotes!

JV Sports weekend for the Coyotes starting with JV Baseball ⚾️ last night v. MDI that netted the team a 8-3W - JV Softball 🥎 today v. Orono showcased a short 4.5 inning 12-0W against cross-river rival Orono - JV Baseball ⚾️ wrapped up the JV Swing weekend with a 11-1 short game v. Central. JV Tennis 🎾 hosted a 4 team Jambo on the OT Courts that feature play by all teams and all players!

The Outdoor Track teams competed yesterday, and into the evening, in the PVC Large School Championship Meet at MDI and came away with strong team performances, with the girls' team finishing 3rd behind the only two teams they have lost to thus far this season, Class A Bangor and Brewer, while the boys team held their seeding and finished 4th behind Bangor, Brewer & Caribou. Leading the way for the girls were Grace Willey with individual wins in the 100M Hurdles & High Jump & a 6th in TripleJump, Dominique Reinzo with a 2nd in the Shot Put & 5th in Javelin, 2nd place finishes from Kylee Murray in the Javelin and the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, Cassidy Rackliffe, Lida Kanoti & Taylor Loring and got 3rd place finishes from Loring in the 400M, Rackliffe in the 3200M & Ely Briggs in the High Jump. For the boys, Corbin Flewelling again led the way with 3 individual 1st place finishes in the High Jump (6-2), Long Jump (21-11) & Triple Jump (46-0.50), while James Cote finished 1st in the 110M Hurdles, 3rd in the High Jump & Long Jump & 4th in the 300M Hurdles and Spencer Gordon was 4th in the 1600M Run. The season continues next week with the Frosh Championship Meet in Hampden on Tuesday and the Class B State Championship Meet in Freeport on Saturday.

Members of the Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams competed at the PVC JV Championship Meet today in Brewer. For the girls, the 4x100M Relay team of Haley Moores, Olivia Barthelemy, Chloe Henry & Ava Harvey finished as JV Meet champions, while Barthelemy finished 2nd in both the 100M & 200M Dashes, Harvey was 2nd in the Triple Jump & 3rd in the Long Jump, and Moores was 3rd in the 100M Dash. Also, finishing in the top 6 in their events were Crystal Smith, 3rd in the Shot Put, Danica Flewelling, 5th in the Triple Jump and Rhiannon Bousquet, 6th in the 100M Dash. Finishing top 8 for the boys were Chase Dodge, 4th in the Javelin and Andrew Wolfertz, 8th in the Shot Put.

Coyotes in action all over the state today - JV Baseball/Softball took on the Ponies in FA - Softball 🥎 coming away with a 20-10L, while the Baseball ⚾️ team continued the W's with a 20-7 victory. Varsity Baseball/Softball took on the Crusaders at John Bapst fields, Baseball ⚾️ suffered 3rd loss with a 6-2 L, while Softball 🥎 pulled a 13-3 W.... Varsity Tennis 🎾 finished out the season on the road to Hermon - Hawks topped the Coyotes in both Boys/Girls tennis - Boys lost 3-2 and girls lost 4-1.... Plenty of season left and competitions are heating up!

The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams wrapped up their regular seasons at home today on senior day, recognizing 13 Girls and 7 boys, with another overall team win for the girls over Hampden and 5 other schools, while the boys team had a great day as well, finishing in a 1st place tie with Hampden in their meet. The girls' team picked up individual wins from seniors Grace Willey in the 100M Hurdles & High Jump, Dominique Reinzo in the Shot Put & Javelin, Kayleigh Johnston in the 400M Run and Izabella Damboise in the Discus. They also got 1st place finishes from Taylor Loring in the 800M Run, Lida Kanoti in the 3200M Run, the 4x100M Relay team of senior Olivia Small, Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet & Libby Saucier and the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, senior Cassidy Rackliffe, Kanoti & Loring. For the boys, they were led by the individual wins from seniors Corbin Flewelling in the High Jump, Long Jump & Triple Jump, James Cote in the 110M Hurdles, Spencer Gordon in the 800M Run and Jorden Cote in the 100M Dash. Next up is the JV Championship Meet in Brewer on Wednesday and the PVC Large School Championship Meet at MDI on Friday. We would again like to thank our 20 seniors for their years of dedication to the outdoor track program!
