Speech Language Pathologist Position

Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Qualifications: Must hold a valid CHRC and be eligible for obtaining a 293 endorsement or hold a Maine State License in Speech Language Pathology.

Position Description: Provide speech and language therapy, both direct and consult, to children with variety of disabilities and work as an integral member of an educational team to provide high quality services to children with significant academic, behavioral, and social skills needs. Duties will also include evaluation, screenings as needed, case management and team collaboration. Preference will be given to those with experience.

Salary Range: Competitive Per Teacher Contract

OLD TOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Anticipated Opening

Old Town Elementary is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and dynamic upper elementary teacher to join our staff in the fall of 2019. Our school is located near the University of Maine and serves about 600 students in the Pre-K to 5th Grade setting. The school has a strong reputation for high expectations for all learners and sound instructional practices to meet the needs of a variety of learners. A new professional joining our school staff must have the following credentials: A strong work ethic, passion for working with children, a kind heart, and an openness to working with a variety of families and learners. Additional skills: De-escalation techniques, knowledge of trauma-centered school beliefs, and classroom management techniques to support a variety of learners.

Leonard Middle School

Anticipated Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher

Start Date: School year 2019-2020

RSU #34 is looking for a special education teacher with experience providing specially designed instruction in literacy and mathematics as well as a candidate that can support students with executive functioning challenges at the middle level. The candidate needs to have knowledge and experience with special education processes and regulations. The ability to work in a fast paced educational environment and to communicate and collaborate with students, families and colleagues is a must.

Certification and CHRC are required, 282 preferred.

Salary Range: Based on the negotiated contract
