
The Outdoor Track teams competed yesterday, and into the evening, in the PVC Large School Championship Meet at MDI and came away with strong team performances, with the girls' team finishing 3rd behind the only two teams they have lost to thus far this season, Class A Bangor and Brewer, while the boys team held their seeding and finished 4th behind Bangor, Brewer & Caribou. Leading the way for the girls were Grace Willey with individual wins in the 100M Hurdles & High Jump & a 6th in TripleJump, Dominique Reinzo with a 2nd in the Shot Put & 5th in Javelin, 2nd place finishes from Kylee Murray in the Javelin and the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, Cassidy Rackliffe, Lida Kanoti & Taylor Loring and got 3rd place finishes from Loring in the 400M, Rackliffe in the 3200M & Ely Briggs in the High Jump. For the boys, Corbin Flewelling again led the way with 3 individual 1st place finishes
in the High Jump (6-2), Long Jump (21-11) & Triple Jump (46-0.50), while James Cote finished 1st in the 110M Hurdles, 3rd in the High Jump & Long Jump & 4th in the 300M Hurdles and Spencer Gordon was 4th in the 1600M Run. The season continues next week with the Frosh Championship Meet in Hampden on Tuesday and the Class B State Championship Meet in Freeport on Saturday.


A couple of games for the Coyotes on the Island tonight as the Trojans hosted - Softball 🥎 left the island with a 4-2W and move to 11-4 and 4th in heals - Baseball ⚾️ left the island with a 12-3W and move to 12-3 and 3rd in heals - Both teams have 1 game left on the season against JB


JV Baseball v. MDI is postponed due to field conditions, this will be made up tomorrow, May 26th at 4:30 PM.


Members of the Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams competed at the PVC JV Championship Meet today in Brewer. For the girls, the 4x100M Relay team of Haley Moores, Olivia Barthelemy, Chloe Henry & Ava Harvey finished as JV Meet champions, while Barthelemy finished 2nd in both the 100M & 200M Dashes, Harvey was 2nd in the Triple Jump & 3rd in the Long Jump, and Moores was 3rd in the 100M Dash. Also, finishing in the top 6 in their events were Crystal Smith, 3rd in the Shot Put, Danica Flewelling, 5th in the Triple Jump and Rhiannon Bousquet, 6th in the 100M Dash. Finishing top 8 for the boys were Chase Dodge, 4th in the Javelin and Andrew Wolfertz, 8th in the Shot Put.


JV games at JB today, May 24th are postponed due to incoming weather - they are rescheduled for Monday, June 5th - time TBA (but looking like night games)

Coyote 🥎 and ⚾️ on the road to face off against the Ponies - The 🥎 team improved to 10-4 with a 8-2 W and stay in 4th for heals, ⚾️ improves to 11-3 with a 3-1 W and maintains 3rd in heals - Heading to the Island on Thursday to face MDI!


Coyotes in action all over the state today - JV Baseball/Softball took on the Ponies in FA - Softball 🥎 coming away with a 20-10L, while the Baseball ⚾️ team continued the W's with a 20-7 victory. Varsity Baseball/Softball took on the Crusaders at John Bapst fields, Baseball ⚾️ suffered 3rd loss with a 6-2 L, while Softball 🥎 pulled a 13-3 W.... Varsity Tennis 🎾 finished out the season on the road to Hermon - Hawks topped the Coyotes in both Boys/Girls tennis - Boys lost 3-2 and girls lost 4-1.... Plenty of season left and competitions are heating up!

The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams wrapped up their regular seasons at home today on senior day, recognizing 13 Girls and 7 boys, with another overall team win for the girls over Hampden and 5 other schools, while the boys team had a great day as well, finishing in a 1st place tie with Hampden in their meet. The girls' team picked up individual wins from seniors Grace Willey in the 100M Hurdles & High Jump, Dominique Reinzo in the Shot Put & Javelin, Kayleigh Johnston in the 400M Run and Izabella Damboise in the Discus. They also got 1st place finishes from Taylor Loring in the 800M Run, Lida Kanoti in the 3200M Run, the 4x100M Relay team of senior Olivia Small, Johnston, Rhiannon Bousquet & Libby Saucier and the 4x800M Relay team of Lexi Wesley, senior Cassidy Rackliffe, Kanoti & Loring. For the boys, they were led by the individual wins from seniors Corbin Flewelling in the High
Jump, Long Jump & Triple Jump, James Cote in the 110M Hurdles, Spencer Gordon in the 800M Run and Jorden Cote in the 100M Dash. Next up is the JV Championship Meet in Brewer on Wednesday and the PVC Large School Championship Meet at MDI on Friday. We would again like to thank our 20 seniors for their years of dedication to the outdoor track program!



JV Teams continued the events for Saturday, JV tennis competed well at the H.A. jambo which showcased our whole team! JV 🥎 facing ELL had a solid game featuring great hitting throughout the lineup worked to a 7-4 W - JV ⚾️ hosting ELL and took a minute for bats to come alive and they ran out of innings 6-3 L for second loss of the season... Back in action Monday...


Kicking off our busy Saturday with Varsity ⚾️ / 🥎 welcoming the Eagles to Victory Field Complex - Yotes showed up to play lead by Gabe Gifford no-hitter on the mound and first at bat home run leading to a 4.5 inning 13-0 W - Softball was just as exciting with a dominate Emma Doucette showing on the mound and some happy bats all around leading to a 3-0 W for the Yotes.... onto the next games next week!


JV Softball 🥎 in action to kick off a busy weekend at the OTHS Complex - Welcoming Brewer to the field, OT dominated this game with a 15-4 W and even had to face the fierce arm of OTHS own Aria Porter as she was on loan to the Witches for a couple of innings! Ellsworth up next...

Due to the forecast on Saturday, May 20th, we will be moving the start times of Varsity Baseball/Softball v. ELL to 11 AM and JV Softball/Baseball v. ELL to follow (1 PM ish).
The track meet, and JV tennis, are all still going to be starting at the programmed time of 12 PM


Mother Nature decided to play nice today for the Senior Games for Softball 🥎 and Baseball ⚾️ at Victory Fields - Baseball, lead by Seniors Josh Harvey, Gabe Gifford, James Dumond, Jordan Craft, Ian Bouchard, Lucas Moore, and Logan Brown came away with a 9-2 W v. Orono - Softball lead by the one and only Senior Gabby Cody won a 11-1 shortened game v. Orono - Thank you to all the seniors and families for the time with our program!


Winter in May brought us a tennis 🎾 match on the Island today as the Trojans welcomed the Coyotes. Boys team move to 1-10 with a 0-5 L, Girls team move to 8-3 with a 4-1 W - Last matches of the season coming soon at Hermon


Tonight, I feel a tradition was born with the first ever Green v. White game hosted at OTHS's Victory Fields - JV Baseball welcomed the challenge from LMS as the future stars of OTHS competed for bragging rights - JV Team (White) took the first game! Nothing like 30 degree May 17th baseball, but all was in good fun to promote the future of OTHS Baseball ⚾️


OTHS Baseball and Softball on the road to Hawk Country - Baseball moves to 8-2 on the season with a 8-0 W against Hermon - Softball not so lucky with a 4-2 L and moves to 6-4 on the season. Next up are the Senior games for the Softball and Baseball on Thursday - Ceremony will be on the Baseball field prior to the games...


OTHS Tennis across the river and down the road a bit to Orono HS - Boys fought hard to a 3-2 L and move to 1-9 for the season, Girls team showed strong and came away with a 3-2 W and move to 7-3 on the year!
