Meet Mr Merrill, our Social Studies teacher on the 7th grade team. Mr Merrill is excited about starting his first year at LMS and has already created a good classroom environment for his students!
Today's advisory lesson about lifting others up has inspired our students to make a LIft Others Up Wall to help students feel better about their day!

It's harvest season in the LMS garden. The 8th grade outdoor ed class made salsa to share with their classmates on Friday. Tomatoes, garlic, hot & sweet peppers all grown in our garden!

The 6th graders have a Unified Arts called Paper making with Purpose. They are making their own paper together and having a blast. Thank you Mrs Clement for the awesome experience!

🔬 Exploring the Future at LMS!
Students at Leonard Middle School had an exciting opportunity to explore an innovative research product from the University of Maine: cellulose nanofibrils (CNF).
Students were able to touch and examine the materials, learn about the products and possibilities being explored, and engage in conversations about how this renewable and reusable resource could potentially change the way we live and create products in the future.
Experiences like this give our students a chance to see how science, research, and innovation happening right here in Maine can have a much bigger impact on our world. 🌲🔬🌎
Who knows? Maybe today’s curious middle schoolers will be tomorrow’s researchers and innovators!
