Today, the LMS Jazz Ensemble had the privilege of a two hour clinic with my long-time friend and colleague, Craig Skeffington. An Old Town native, Craig has worked hard and made himself known nationally as a composer, performer, and teacher. He will also be one of the newest inductees into the OTHS Hall of Fame in May. We recently commissioned Craig to write a piece for the LMS Jazz Ensemble. We had the honor of working on said piece with him today and we will premier it next week in our concert. It will go on sale nation-wide soon. Craig worked the kids hard, made us laugh, and we learned tons.

Congratulations to the LMS Girls Basketball Team on winning the 2020 EMMSL Championship Saturday night! The team finished 12-0 and we are very proud of how they represented LMS all season long. Way to go Coyotes!!!

Congratulations to the LMS Girls Basketball Team for a great semi-final win over Nokomis Middle School yesterday! A huge thank you to the fans, especially our student section and staff members, who showed up to support the girls. The team will play for the championship vs Cohen at Brewer High School, 7:30 pm Friday or the same time Saturday evening if the weather does not cooperate. Way to go Coyotes!!!
Tomorrow's LMS Girls Basketball Semi-final matchup against Nokomis will start at 4:30 pm instead of 5:30 pm. The winner of this game will play in the EMMSL championship on Friday at Brewer High School either at 5:30 or 7:30 depending on the other game's outcome.

Our winter chorus concert was a huge success. Thank you to Mrs. Priest, Mrs. Lander, our UMaine helpers, and especially to all the students and their families.
Both LMS basketball teams finished their regular season yesterday with victories over the Reeds Brook Rebels. The girls finished with a 10-0 record seeding them #1 in the upcoming tournament. The boys team finished the season 6-4 with a 4th or 5th seed to be determined later this week. Congrats to both teams and good luck in the league tournament!
The LMS Cheerleaders placed third in their first competition of season in Brewer on Friday. The team was 1 point out of second place in the large school division. Way to go Coyotes!!!
Our chorus concert is postponed to next Thursday, January 23, 7:00 PM at Minsky Hall, UMaine.

LMS had a couple of well played basketball games yesterday at Cohen with the girls team staying undefeated with a 33-23 victory. The LMS boys team fell short to Cohen 41-28, bringing them to 4-4 on the season. Both teams are in action at Bucksport on Friday with the boys game starting at 3:30. Go Coyotes!
Both LMS basketball teams came away with victories yesterday at OTES over the JFD school of Bangor. Both teams played well with all players contributing to the victories. Next game is at Cohen on Tuesday, January 14th at 3:30 with the girls getting things started. Way to go Coyotes!
