The Boys and Girls Indoor Track teams both recorded 4th place finishes last night at the PVC-EMITL Large School Championship Meet, behind only Class A teams Bangor, Brewer and Hampden. The boys were led by Corbin Flewelling, who continued to re-write the school record book, breaking his own records with a 1st in the Long Jump at 21' 9.25" and a 1st in the Triple Jump at 46' 1.50", and he also finished 2nd in the High Jump. James Cote finished 1st in the Hurdles and 3rd in both the Long Jump & High Jump, Jorden Cote was 5th in the 55M & 6th in the Long Jump, Wyatt Byther was 6th in the 800M and the 4x200M Relay team of Hayna Francis, Cooper Neely, Griffin Murray & Byther finished 6th. For the girls, Grace Willey finished 1st in the High Jump & 2nd in the Hurdles, Ely Briggs was 2nd in the High Jump & 5th in the Long Jump, Cassidy Rackliffe was 4th in the 2 Mile & 6th in the Mile, Lexi Wesley was 4th in the 800M, and the girls also received 5th place finishes from Kayleigh Johnston in the 400M, Myah Worster in the High Jump and Olivia Lizzotte in the Triple Jump. The teams will close out the season on February 20th at the Class B State Meet at Bates College in Lewiston.




Very proud of the fight and determination these girls displayed this season - This was capped off by a 12th place finish at the Class B State Competition today in Augusta. If you didn't get a chance to see these girls compete you missed out - Great season ladies!


Coyote Wrestling in Howland for the Class B regionals today - Sam C representing the Yotes and taking 2nd place, heading to states next weekend - solid performances by Isaac T going 1-2 for the day and Kloee M 0-2 for the day.


A great showing and swim for the OTHS Boys Swim team at the PVC Championships at Wallace Pool at UMaine - The boys swam to a 5th place finish out of 13 teams competing. A solid top 5 finish for the team. Onto states!!!


OTO live at the Alfond hosting St. Doms - Strong class A team out played OTO to a 6-3 W, moving OTO to 4-7-1 on the season and sitting in 5th place in the Heals.


Unified Home Opener today in Mackenzie Gym - Coyotes hosted the Broncos today and played to a 86-66 HA win! Great atmosphere and better opponents - Thank you to all the students, staff, and community that came out to support the team




Ummmmm did we play a game tonight? Yuuuuuuuuuuuuuup! Yotes traveled across the River and through the woods to the Red Riots and boy did they show up... Fast start and solid shooting earned the Coyotes a 54-40 W, finishing 16-2 and currently in 3rd place - JV also livened up the place with an exciting 54-41 W.... Exciting times for Yote Nation


And just like that - OTHS Girls JV move onto the next round with a 49-22 W against F.A. - Girls play the winner of Bangor/Orono on Monday, Feb. 13th at 4 PM.


OTHS Cheer Update - Cheerleaders will perform at the Augusta Civic Center on Saturday Feb. 11th - 4 PM Performance - 11 AM Bus


A part of athletics offer at OTHS have to do with individual/team Co-Ops - One of the better known teams is our OTO Hockey Program - Well folks, let me introduce you to OTHS very own Lida Kanoti and her top 5 finish at the KVC Regional XC 5K Freestyle Race - this finish qualifies her for the state competition - Go Lida Go!


Tonight was not about the scores, but the history that was made. 2023 Girls Basketball team will go down in OTHS Athletic History as the 2nd team, behind the 1979 Girls Team, to go 18-0, undefeated, in the regular season. The win tonight in Orono capped off the best season the Coyotes have had in recent years and has them going into the tournament as the #1 seed - Congratulations Ladies on your historic run. JV picked up the 62-27W as well tonight!


OTO Black Bears hosted Cony tonight on the frozen water of the Alfond… Team came out hot scoring 2 goals per period finishing with a 6-1 W for the Black 🐻’s - St. Dom’s up next on Thursday at 6:30 PM


JV Post Season play for the basketball 🏀 Boys Basketball 🏀 v. ELL today in Mackenzie - The gents made it exciting to the last second pulling out a 60-58 W and moving on to the next round v. Bangor on 2/10 at 4:30 PM


Man, it has been a wild ride for the OTHS Cheer Team as they head into Comp. season and the ride got harder tonight - after suffering another significant injury to a teammate, having to stop the routine, redo the routine, and go last - the team still finished 5th and improved 12pts from PVC Comp! Way to go ladies!


Huge road win for the Yotes tonight as they travel to Pony country - Boys Basketball 🏀 moves to 15-2 with a 67-51 W at Foxcroft - JV suffered its 2nd L of the season falling with a 68-64 L - Big game down the river on Wednesday as the Yotes wrap up the regular season at Orono…


A couple of changes for the next couple of days events -
- Boys Games tonight at FA are 5/6:30 PM
- Unified Game at FA tomorrow is postponed
- The JV Boys Basketball game was moved to a 4:30 PM start for Tue 7th
- OTO Hockey @ P.I. will be Feb. 17th at 5:45 PM

The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams wrapped up the regular season last night with 2nd place finishes in their six team meets at U. Maine. The girls team received strong individual performances from seniors Grace Willey with firsts in the Hurdles & Long Jump and a 5th in the Triple Jump and Kayleigh Johnston with a 2nd in the 200M & a 3rd in the 400M and also received double-digit points from Mikayla Johnston, Alexis Wesley, Olivia Lizzotte and Ely Briggs, and got a 1st place finish by the 4x200M Relay team of Kayleigh & Mikayla Johnston, Wesley and Lizzotte. The boys team was led by seniors Corbin Flewelling with a 1st in the Long Jump, a 1st in the Triple Jump breaking his own School Record with a Jump of 45' 1.50" and a 2nd in the High Jump, James Cote with a 2nd in the Hurdles & Long Jump and a 3rd in the High Jump and Wyatt Byther with a 1st in the 800M Run. Next up is the
PVC-EMITL Large School Championship Meet next Saturday night back at U. Maine.
