Events - March 30th Week - Spring Sports Start

The LMS Unified Basketball team wrapped up their season on Friday vs Cohen at Old Town Elementary. Great game with many different scorers leading to a 50-42 victory! Congratulations on a great season!




Bangor Area Wrestling had 2 LMS students compete in the Pine Tree League regional wrestling tournament this past weekend at Ellsworth High School. Competing was 8th grader Chris Belyeu 155lbs who placed 4th, and 6th grader Jaxyn McLaughlin 105lbs who placed 5th. Both are heading to States next weekend at Troy Howard in Belfast. Congratulations!


The OTHS Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams held their end of season awards night on Wednesday evening. Thanks to all team members for one of the most successful combined girls and boys seasons in recent memory. Congratulations to special award recipients Olivia Lizzotte, Elyannah Briggs, Lucy Vellieux, Olivia Barthelemy, Chloe Henry, CJ Yanush, Noah Briggs and Cooper Neely. We would also like to thank our eleven seniors, Lizzotte, Ely Briggs, Barthelemy, Henry, Ava Harvey, Lindsay Mockler, Natalie Fournier, Yanush, Neely, Parker Day and Hunter Stoup, for their years of dedication and commitment to the program.



Congratulations to Sophie Morgan and Taylor Loring last weekend as Sophie was awarded Macdonald’s academic award and Taylor awarded Macdonald’s all star team. These are tremendous honors that require committee review and local nomination. Congratulation on these achievements.

LMS Unified Basketball competed in their second game of the season vs. the Wildcats from Lincoln. Lots of smiles and great shooting from both teams!



Ladies and Gents - I would like to introduce the 2026 PVC Joe Paul Scholar Athlete Winners! All well deserving of the awards, they all were very excited to have my name TWICE on the certificate, and I may have treated them to Ice Cream at Jimmy's because they are cool kids!

UPDATED EVENTS - Events for 3/9 Week - Short, quiet week

NPV Swim 🏊 down at MPA Class B State Swim Meet today at Colby College - Boys Team finished 7th in the State and Girls Team finished 6th in the State - Many medals earned and records broken, especially Libby Saucier who broke her own school record, again! Great season for the River Hawks!

The Witches and Coyotes clashed in Mackenzie this afternoon for another Unified Home matchup! Coyotes continued its win streak with a 64-55 W over the Witches.... Coyotes host a play day tomorrow with our friends to the North, PI, Caribou, and HA converge into Mackenzie gym tomorrow!

Events for March 4th Week

Congratulations to OTHS Indoor Track team members, senior Elyannah Briggs and junior Carter Osnoe who competed Saturday at the New England Track & Field Championships in Boston. Elyannah finished 7th in the High Jump with an individual NE meet personal best jump of 5'-5", while Carter finished 17th in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 49'-0.50" in his first time competing at NE's. Great job Ely and Carter!

OTHS Unified BBall traveled across the river and down the road to Orono today for a rematch of the home opener! This time the Coyotes got the best of the Red Riots and celebrate the first WIN of the season 91-89! Witches come to Mackenzie next week!

OTO season came to an end today down at Colby College playing #1 Messo in the quarterfinal game. Messo pulled out early with a 3-0 lead, ended 9-1. Great learning season for this young team, many lessons to be taken away for the future seasons to come!

Unified traveled north to MA today for the second game of the season. Coyotes battled it out and had some fun on the court at the Lynx!

We would also like to recognize two boys who were left out of the recap of yesterday's State Track Meet, Noah Briggs who finished 3rd and Parker Day who finished 4th in the Triple Jump.
