OTHS Girls Basketball @ Houlton - 5:30/7 PM - still on and going
Practices can be held today, but all practices are not mandatory and athletes should stay safe. Coaches will be in contact regarding practices plans


LMS Boys & Girls Basketball games vs. Brewer have been postponed. Make up date is to be determined.
There will be no after school practices for any team this afternoon 12/18.


All afterschool activities are canceled for RSU 34 - Boys basketball game at Bucksport is postponed, more information to come pertaining to a date to be made up!


Events for the Week!


Final event of the day - XC Ski ⛷️ with an icy event at Sugarloaf that was extremely altered because of available snow ⛄️- more of a hill climb time trial for OT's own Lida Kanoti as she finished 17th out of 39 and improved to 16th out of 39 on the second lap - way to go Lida!


The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams opened up the season in a ten team meet Saturday night at the New Balance Fieldhouse at U.Maine with a strong 3rd place finish from the girls team and a 6th place finish from the boys team. For the girls, Lucy Veilleux finished 2nd in both the 55M Dash and Triple Jump, while they also received 2nd place finishes from Lexi Wesley in the 800, Ruby Whitmore in the Long Jump, Kylee Murray in the Shot Put, the 4x200M Relay team of Rhiannon Bousquet, Mikayla Johnston, Wesley & Whitmore and the 4x800M Relay team of Lily Heitmann, Liz Preble, Phoebe Yerxa & Chloe Henry. The boys received 2nd place finishes from the 4x200M Relay team of Andrew Wolfertz, Cooper Neely, Kaiden Plourde & Hayna Francis, and the 4x800M Relay team of Kameron Plourde, Kaiden Plourde, Neely & Francis. The teams are back at U.Maine next Friday afternoon.


OTO home opener v. Bangor Rams today at the Alfond - Strong Bangor team and great competition for the Black Bears 🐻 - 4-1 L for the team, moving to 0-1-1 on the season - JV followed and are still undefeated with a 1-1 tie - St. Dom's up next!


Wrapping up the day in Mackenzie Gym were the lady Coyotes hosting Caribou - some dominate performances by the ladies, both on JV and Varsity - JV came away with a 36-21 W - Varsity moving to 3-0 on the season with a 64-40 W featuring a 3-fest from Makay-Kay Emerson - on the road to Houlton Wednesday!

Vikings rowed into Mackenzie Gym today for a couple of boys basketball 🏀 games v. the Coyotes - JV had a game, losing at the buzzer 53-50 - While Varsity wanted to keep playing as they went to double overtime, but stay 3-0 with a 66-58 W! Bucksport on the road Monday!



On a night we host the home opener for NPV Swim, we also celebrate the 50th anniversary of Girls Swim at OTHS by welcoming back on deck Laura Blumenstock Branch class of 76 who swam on the first girls team. NPV swim celebrated with 2 wins for both the Men's and Women's program!



OTO with the first game of the 23-24 season on the road to Sawyer Arena to face John Bapst - Varsity took it to overtime and ended all square 3-3 - JV remains unbeaten with a solid 4-0 W - Bangor Rams roll into town for the home opener on Saturday at the Alfond!


Boys Varsity Basketball capping the night off with the home opener v. JB - Boys came out hot scoring 53 in the first half - Ended with a 81 - 39 W - moving the Yotes to 2-0 on the season with Caribou in town on Saturday!

Due to plumbing issues at OTHS that have left us without working bathrooms, we are canceling the Girls Basketball Games v. John Bapst tonight. The schedule has changed for tomorrow night; we are Varsity Only - Girls Varsity 5:30 PM & Boys Varsity 7 PM.


LMS Boys basketball teams faced of against Doughty at home this afternoon. Both teams came away with a W! A team final 74-21, followed by the B team 51-26. Great Job everyone!
