Day of Welcome will finally be here this Friday (postponed from November). Day of Welcome is sponsored by the state of Maine Civil Rights Team Project and our very own OTES Civil Rights Team. Our mission is to make sure everyone feels safe, welcome and respected. On Friday, December 2nd the CRT students are asking everyone to wear their community colors and classrooms are decorating welcome signs and mats. The CRT students have been sharing books with the younger grades this week that promote inclusion and diversity.

Did you watch the parade this morning? Well, here is the OTES version! Ms. St. Peter’s 5th grade class made balloons like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and recorded their creations in front of the green screen. Mrs. Reesman put it together in imovie and added the parade theme. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10VN__epxLkp0OdukXZbtMW5-yS2SV7FE/view?usp=sharing Mrs. Reesman also recorded her Balloons Over Broadway read aloud as well: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SSxS5f0q4zpNG3IGAFSzXG0_FZ4V9ER5/view?usp=sharing Happy Thanksgiving!
