Class Dues are now being collected in the Main Office at OTHS. The cost is $50.00 and covers graduation expenses, including flowers, pictures, setup, etc. Please make payment to RSU #34 by Friday, May 27th. If your family needs help with this cost, please reach out to their school counselor.
If your student has received scholarships from their college or outside agency, please bring a copy to the guidance office as soon as possible. We can not announce what we do not know. Please don’t assume that we know - colleges do not send us copies of acceptance letters or scholarships.
Schedule - 2022/2023
We have had a group of teachers meeting since early February to look at our current schedule and as a committee, we have decided to change our schedule. There were several factors that the committee considered including an intervention time where students have access to all of their teachers. They also felt that everyone would benefit from a more predictable schedule. We are moving back to an alternating day block schedule. This means that students will have 4 classes per day and those classes will meet every other day. The committee will continue to meet over the summer to discuss the structure of this intervention period. More information to come.

Just a reminder that students who have a high number of unexcused absences during this semester could potentially earn a CO (Credit Only). If your student has 9 or more unexcused absences in any class (cumulative quarters 3 and 4), please have them reach out to their school counselor.
Starting on May 9th, all students in grades 9 to 11 will take the NWEA assessment in English, Math, and Social Studies classes. These are required assessments by the State of Maine. In addition, all juniors will take the Science Assessment on May 24, 25, & 26 during period 2.
As the warmer weather continues, please be mindful of our dress code. When they come to school, students should have no private parts exposed and typical undergarments should be covered at all times, this includes sports bras and bralettes. All clothing should be opaque.

While we’re emerging from the Omicron surge, and seeing fewer COVID cases in RSU #34, we are seeing increases in other viral illnesses. We want to keep our kids healthy and learning in school. Please remember to keep your child home when they’re sick, and if they have a fever to keep them home for 24 hours after the fever ends (without the use of fever-reducing medications).
Please remember to do the daily screening for COVID symptoms before your child gets on the bus or goes to school: link
If you do a home COVID test for one of our students, please include a picture of the test when you communicate with your school nurse
Prom tickets will be on sale during lunches starting Wednesday, April 27th during lunches. Tickets are $25 per person. Juniors and seniors who are bringing students from outside of OTHS need to complete a guest pass before tickets can be purchased. All guest passes must be turned in no later than May 12th.
