Yesterday, students from our CTE class were invited to take part in a NextGen tour at C & L Aviation in Bangor to look at the many different jobs that are available in the field of aviation. Our students were able to tour a couple of the hangers to see where repairs and complete overhauls are done on many different aircraft. They put together a small aluminum plane with rivets, used a wire diagram to light up a small runway and tour one of the Air Guard's refueling aircraft. Most students favorite activity of the day was a flight simulator where they had to land a small plane at Bangor International Airport. Everyone had a great time and had their eyes opened up to the multitude of possibilities that exist in the field of Aviation.
