OT wrestling in action last night at the Guilford Duels. Short field of wrestlers for OT but performed strong - Only 2 ot wrestlers
Sam C who went 4-1 and Xander D who went 5-0. Up to the county next on Dec. 29th!

The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams were back in action today at the U. Maine New Balance Fieldhouse in another multi-team regular season meet. The girls team placed 2nd behind a strong Bangor team for the second week in a row and we're led by individual first place finishes from junior Grace Willey in the LJ and 55m Hurdles and also placed 2nd in the HJ, while senior Chelsey Cote had a runner up finish with a personal best in the shot put.
And despite being undermanned today, the boys team also finished 2nd behind Bangor and were led again by junior Corbin Flewelling, who for the second week in a row had individual victories in the LJ, TJ and HJ and junior Jorden Cote who scored in 3 events as well, with a 2nd in the LJ, a 3rd in the 55m and a 4th in the 200m. The teams are back in action at U. Maine a week from today.

Lady Yotes Basketball 🏀 on the long trek to Raider country last night - Varsity continued the dominance with a 72-30 W - JV made for a an exciting 43-30 game, but fell short of the W… Little break for the Coyotes, next game 28th at Ell.

OT/OTO Swim in action last night down in the Belfast area for the traditional pre-holiday meet - OT Boys 29-46 Belfast - OTO Swim 8-83 Belfast - Swim moves into break with plenty of regional and state qualifiers to this point.

With school being canceled tomorrow, We will move to keep the same schedule on Thursday, Dec. 23rd as communicated. Sports teams scheduled for Wed. Dec. 22nd should drop in for pictures on either Thursday, Dec. 23rd from 1-3 PM or on Tuesday, Dec. 28th from 8-11 AM.

RSU 34:: No School tomorrow, Wednesday December 22, 2021 in RSU34 - We will communicate a makeup for winter sports scheduled - See everyone next year!

Attention Student Athletes - To continue the pooled testing process over break, OTHS will be rapid antigen testing on Tuesday, December 28th - 8-11 AM at the Nurse Clinic at OTHS. All should test, if this date is a conflict then please contact Mr. Bousquet at the High School.

Due to forecasted weather on Wednesday, Dec. 22nd - we have moved the Boys Basketball game at W.A. to a new date.

The Voice of Democracy is a scholarship program sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Each year students from around the country are given the opportunity to write and record their original essay, and compete for more than $2 million in scholarships. Old Town High School Senior, and Coyote Battalion Commander, Maxwell Chapman is the 2021 VFW District 4 winner. Members of VFW Post 3381 in Old Town presented Cadet Chapman with a certificate recognizing him as the District 4 winner and $200. Cadet Chapman will now move on to the State competition to earn the right to compete for national awards.

The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams opened their season's tonight in a 7 team meet at the U. Maine New Balance Fieldhouse. The girls team finished up in 2nd place and were led by junior Grace Willey who recorded 3 individual wins, while the boys team, led by junior Corbin Flewelling who also had 3 individual victories, ended up with a strong 3rd place team finish. The teams are back at it next Thursday morning back at U. Maine.

OT Wresting in action today at the Bucksport Tournament - Good finishes for the team and represented the program well. OT Wrestling SamC. went 3-1 3rd place, Kloee M. went 2-2 4th place, Issac T. went 1-2, Keane B. went 1-2. Next up PCHC meet on the 22nd.

OTO playing host to our county rivals PI at the Alfond today. Black Bears started slow and over came adversity quick - 2-1 W for the Black Bears - Next game is the 27th v. Messo 6 PM

Swim on the road to MDI tonight - Trojans are a tough program with a lot of swimmers - OT had great performances but scored 38 to 130 scored by MDI - OTO girls found similar outcome with personal bests but scored 21 to 147 scored by MDI - Next week off to Belfast!

Lady Coyotes on the road to Hawk town - Two Class B powerhouses facing off but the Yotes came out on top with a 52-41 W on the road. JV Girls played a strong game but fell 49-36 to the Hawks to open the night… Varsity 3-0 on the season, JV 1-2 on the season…

OTO opened the season tonight v. Cross Town competitor J.B. - Team was focused and centered on a competitive showing! OTO 4 - 2 JB outcome - 27-26 outshooting the Crusaders. Black Bears welcome the Wildcats on Saturday!
