The State of Maine is now offering free tuition to students who are attending (or will attend) the Community College System. Students who graduated between 2020 to 2023 are eligible.

Not an ideal day for Baseball/Softball home opener against MDI - Trojans Baseball with a 2 run 5th outlasted the Coyotes 3-2, While the Yote Softball team came up with big bats and solid pitching for a 9-0 win, Mother Nature needs to help us for Thursday against Bangor!

Tennis 🎾 visiting the Armstrong Center today for a match v. JB - Boys lost 5-0, Girls lost 3-2 - if Mother Nature is nice, we play again on Thursday v. Hermon

Events for the week of April 25th

The Girls and Boys Outdoor Track teams opened up the season today at home in a 9 team meet at Victory Field. The girls' team finished up with a first place finish in the team results and were led by Grace Willey with individual wins in the High Jump, Long Jump and 100M Hurdles and also got individual wins from Chelsey Cote in the Shot Put and Abby Swedberg in the Javelin. The boys' team ended up in 2nd place in meet, getting individual first place finishes from Corbin Flewelling in the High Jump, Long Jump and Triple Jump, James Cote in the 110M Hurdles and Jorden Cote in the 100M Dash. Next up is a meet at Orono next Saturday.

OT Tennis 🎾 hosted the Trojans from the island - MDI walked away with two wins, 5-0 v. Boys Team, 3-2 v. Girls Team….

Tomorrow, Saturday 23rd - OTHS Track host the first of many meets at Victory Field - Meet Officials are needed for this event - no experience needed, they are paid spots - See Sarah Shorette at the track event to help!

OT Tennis 🎾 on the road to WA for an afternoon match - Raiders outlasted the girls team 4-1, moving the girls to 0-2 on the season… Yotes Boy teams came away with a 3-2 win and moved them to 1-1 on the season…

Spring Sports opened today with Tennis hosting F.A. at OTHS Community Courts, weather was perfect for sports in Maine today - Boys with a 1-4 loss and the Girls with a 0-5 loss. Next up is WA on Thursday!

Today was a great day for OTHS - with our student body fed BBQ style, we set out as a huge team to welcome our campus to spring with a traditional community clean-up. Staff, students, and all came together to work as one to make OTHS great! Welcome to April break Yotes!

The Marksmanship team finished their season with a first place team victory. Keeara Dutton led the Coyotes in scoring with a third place individual finish. Cadence Freeman had a fifth place finish with Max Chapman and Chris Horne rounding out the team scoring with 11th and 12th place finishes. Also competing were Kevin Murray (15), Izzy Bouchard (23), and Bohdi Ellis (30). Nine teams from eight northeastern schools competed with 47 individual shooters firing.

The following students competed in the UTC SkillsUSA competition and where awarded for their achievements in the prospective programs:

Second Place - Peyton Vose - Heating (State Only)
