Jared Spencer is the first OTHS football player to have earned a $1000 scholarship from the Coach Ken Libbey Memorial Scholarship Program. This award has been in place for 5 years now and is open for application to players who attend the Northern Maine Football Academy in June. Applications are reviewed by a small committee, and the students who win these awards must complete a semester of post secondary schooling, earn a GPA of at least 2.0, and be enrolled in the second semester as well, before receiving their scholarship check. To date, this Scholarship has awarded $15,000, with an additional $2000 to, potentially be awarded this year. Congratulations Jared and thank you to the Libbey family!

OT Cheer competing at the Big East Competition hosted at Hermon HS - OT finished 5th out of 12 teams at the event. Next up is the OT Cheer Showcase at LMS on Wednesday!

OT Basketball in action at Waterville today - All four teams in action - Girls Var. lost 53-31, Girls JV lost 25-19 - different story on the Boys side - Boys Var. won 60-37 and Boys JV come away with a 51-46 - Next games are next week for both teams!

Strong day for the Girls and Boys Indoor track teams today at U. Maine. The girls team with a 1st place finish ahead of 6 other schools, while the boys team finished 2nd out of 8 other teams. Next up is a meet next Friday evening!

Only sport in action tonight was hosted in the warmest place - the pool! OT Boys and OTO swim in action v. JB tonight - OTO Girls 113 - 54/ OT Boys 90 - 57 - OT/OTO teams showed up to play this week! Looking to continue the success into the weekend!

OTO hockey playing Bapst tonight at home, Black Bears pulled a quality win out and out played the Crusaders to a 8-1 win - Black Bears next game is on the road to Brewer on Wednesday...

OT Boys Basketball on the road in Hawk country - Varsity battling hard and losing a close one 44-41, JV back on the win streak with a 58-32 win - Boys on the road to Waterville on Saturday...

Wrestling duels at Ellsworth tonight, Sam 5-0, Gio 2-3, Kloee 3-2, and Tyler 0-2 with second match injury which took him out for the rest of the night. Wrestlers are at Foxcroft on Saturday for a big meet!

Again, a couple of nice wins tonight for the Coyotes v. Crusaders - Lady Coyotes in action with the varsity winning 42-31 and the JV pulling away a 50-31 victory - on the road to a tough Waterville team on Saturday!

Congratulations to Elle McPhee for a very successful weekend in representing OTHS at the 2020 Maine All-State Music Festival, selected to perform in the Jazz All-State Jazz Band on Baritone Sax.
The Maine All-State Jazz Band is made up of other Maine music students from all over the State.

The Girls and Boys Indoor Track teams both finished 4th Saturday in the PVC-EMITL Relay Meet at U. Maine. Next meet for both teams is next Saturday morning back at U Maine.
